Trade and Free Agency rumours
What do people think about Darling? sounds like he has made a few waves at WC and they may be open to trading him. has got a big contract which i wouldn't take on, but if they would pay part of it, maybe an option. just think we need a big marking/crashing forward. not a Gunston type. Waterman is another at WC who has a bit of potential but maybe not big enough. Think the Fwds work chasing and possible of getting are: Darling - WC McLean - Syd (can't get a game) Hogan - GWS ( would fit nicely i think) Ratugolea - Geel (can't get a game) Georgiades - Port (has been dropped 3 times this yr) Henry - Coll (Dropped, and pies heavily linked to McStay put him further out of favor) These are the ones id like us to look at, some will be wanted and contracted by their clubs but still worth a look, Lobb is the other one, but i really don't rate him and he doesn't want to ruck

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Was a repeat of the Dogs game, we played well but defensively [censored] house. To much hand-balling across the HF line, when we should be getting it to Brown advantage and let our smalls go to work. ANB has been ave of recent times and I've been an advocate of his at times, but he took the tackle on way to many times today and in moments when we were surging fwd and he just needed to keep the ball moving fwd. He wasn't alone but he stood out the most. we just didn't have the match ups for their fwd line. De goey was given way to much space at stoppages fwd of center, where they look to tap it to him every time when they are in scoring areas Like the dogs loss, its one with a lot of positives in it. and maybe it is just a change in our game plan for Collingwood not necessarily a change all together. a lot of other teams we would have blown them away enough to cruise after 3/4 time

TEAMS: Rd 21 vs Collingwood
Carn boys, get it done! Melksham play your role again and kep your spot. big watch on Gus, if he goes back to the backline and it looks to upset the balance he has to stay in the guts.

PODCAST: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
Love to hear your thoughts on Melksham's role? I have always been anti Melksham but it looks like his role releases Fritsch up the ground. I can't believe I'm going to say this but if he can play like he did on the weekend I think he stays in the side. Fritsch up the ground is great, he has very good ball skills and also loses his opponents alot and gets out the back.

POSTGAME: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
Can't wait to tune into radio and TV tomoz and listen to the Clown King flip again and say we are premiership favourites. The week after he said our backline is real issue and Can't win the flag. I really dislike that guy!!!!

Trade and Free Agency rumours
Might cost bugger all in picks, but he will still want to get paid some coin. He woukd be on a bit contract at the crows for next yr and no club is gonna pay that. So he woukd be on 700+ next yr then looking at half that. Fine if we can get him cheap as chips, but we can't have alot of money to spend now.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
We now have 3 players on 6+ year deals. As I said in my comment. the part you cut out. I love Gus so im happy, and hopefully it's front loaded to balance out with Trac and Oliver's contract.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
6 years is too long IMO, hope they have front loaded it. But Gus is my Fav, so I'm also happy

PODCAST: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
Could you discuss how that was an amazing game from the Dogs. Yes in terms of our season its a bad loss, but no way can the dogs play that week in week out. 8/10 they lose that game by 25+ points. this is the blueprint to beating our defense, Freo did it and the Hawks did it against us too. it shows how hard and how good you have to be. We also played a very good game, and a couple of kicks (or holding the balls) fall our way and we are clear top with Geel, our fwd line is a worry but it was last yr. T-mac is back running today so i assume putting his hand up for selection at captains run.(amazing how 2 years ago this guy wasn't wanted at the club) and yes this loss puts us in a bad spot, but if we win 1 more by the end of the year we probably finish top 4 and if we win 2 we will finish top 4. I'm forever optimistic but we also have to come to the realization that winning back2back is very hard, but we have the guys that can do it!

CHANGES: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
Club just posted that T-Mac is running today, good enough for me. Put him in

Petty must play forward ( if fit )
IF, we were to try something like this i think it would be Tomlinson, not petty. Petty is rock solid down back. if Tomlinson were to play fwd he is also that coverage if we have an injury to Lever/May/Petty. but to be honest i don't see either as an option, and i think selection should be based on opposition def if we need to play 2 key fwds and Jackson. v Freo i think we need the 2 talls

OUR USE OF THE SUB RULE
Yeh he can run to the ball or with an opponent. ball in hand he is horrible. and that shows with him losing his spot as a Fwd, then as Wing, then as HBF. and only regaining his spot last year as a lock down def. Id love for him to be peeling of the HBF breaking lines and hitting Brown on the lead, but he has been tried there and he doesn't have the tools
-
OUR USE OF THE SUB RULE
In this side as a sub i think he could be with fresh legs, I admit i always thought he was better than he actually was. he showed so much potential. but his style of player is perfect for a sub
-
OUR USE OF THE SUB RULE
Hunt, can run. that is it. he can't play midfield or wing, he can't kick, he can only play leading fwd or lockdown.
-
OUR USE OF THE SUB RULE
If the sub is going to be used as a "match winner" as teams are exploiting it atm, Hunt isn't the guy. has to be someone explosive and dynamic. Chandler is that player and Laurie can be too. last year we were very lucky that it was Jordon or Sparrow. maybe we should have kept VandenBerg on the list for another year, he would be great for that role.
-
Aaron Cadman
yup, just of those highlight i thought that same thing, looks a lot like Cameron. always looks to have 5m on his opponent. If the Jackson trade ends up being a pick and a player surely he is our main target with that pick! but, i also was dirty when we picked Oliver over Parrish, so i'll leave it to our recruiters who have hit the nail more times than not of recent times.

VOTES : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
We won centre clearances by 7, max doesn't ruck everywhere, every contest, unfortunately the around ground ones are taken by Jackson/Weid. this was our best centre clearance game in a long time. Max was very good

Farewell Luke Jackson
No big trades like this end up really hurting side they leave. at the end of the day we are going to get a good deal for a kid who "could" be a gun. he had a big part in getting us a flag, and this trade could be a big part in our next!
