He is 20 and in his first actual year of playing AFL, all those other things can be tidied up. be hard to get into a side that's won 12 of 13 or whatever it is. i don't think he should be our target to answer our prayers, just the fact he is un-contracted and unhappy with collingwood's offer means he is gettable and on the cheap

I think he can be, has the leap to do it. once he builds a bigger body Yeh not alot of clubs have a gun second fwd, besides Gell, Bris and to a lesser extent Rich. which is why McStay can ask as much as he is

he is already bigger than Fritsch and is only 20. He will fill out and become a powerful fwd. agree he is shorter. but by the time he stops growing he will be around 190cm. which isn't much different to most 2nd talls. I've watched a bit of him at VFL level, he play key fwd well. we are pretty lucky in the fact that JVR looks good too and obviously is currently 193cm so should grow another couple before he stops growing.

ruck dominance makes a bigger impact when you have a good midfield, which rich don't.

He is and has been for his NAB footy and when he has played for Coll. which i pointed out in the other part of my post.

Oliver can Play as a second Tall. Played FF in the games he has played for Coll and showed he can do it. And only at 20. 190cm is a good height and as he gets bigger he can become a beast. He is built very different to Fritsch and will be alot bigger. Can see him becoming a Mihocek type.

Yeh thats fine. But they aren't available. Henry is. And at half the price. I'd Love King a FF or a McKay, but it's not gonna happen.

Na, watching Henry this year he hits packs. And only his first year in the AFL. He would play T-Mac's role. Might not be as tall but can jump higher. A future fwd line of JVR, Henry and Fritta it a good one.

Agree, this kid looks good. Needs to work on his kicking but is a dangerous prospect. Plays alot taller than he is and would be a great addition to our fwd line. Reports are he has an offer on the table from Coll but isn't happy with it. Not sure if it's length or $$$

Good to see Marty Hore have a good year, I really liked him and would have loved him to stay on at the Dees. Hopefully he gets another crack somewhere

No, have to train for that and learn the running patterns and fwd set up. first week of finals isn't the time to try that, and whilst Bowie is a nice kick, Spargo is just as good and exceptionally good going inside 50. I know he has been a little down but id back him in to turn it around.

Salem in, crazy talk about him not being B22. Bowie is unlucky but i think it is him that goes out. Think that's the only change, i still worry about Melksham as our second tall, but can't drop him ATM

They can't play 3 talls and have Cameron go out of the square, the will but 1 maybe 2 of the tall on the bench and if that is the case don't be surprised if May plays on Cameron and lever looks to drop off in front. May has done this many a time, and it means if the ball into Cameron isn't perfect he will mop up. Cameron out of the goal square is a nightmare match up one on one, but if Bris set up that way the Dees wont let him have the leading lanes, and then Hipwood, McStay and Daniher have to become crummers

Alot of negativity in the media around melb still. Especially that lovely gentleman David King. I don't know why I tune in every week. But as he has done conveniently all year is draw stats to compliment his statements. Like go over our past 12 weeks for his stats. Where it should be in the past 3 games. Whi h we stack up rather well. But of course that doesn't suit his narrative. Our inside 50s show we should be in the top few teams, but 1 forward isn't working. Ben Brown is having to do too much. The reason he goes into contest with one hand is because he has one opponent trying to hold him out of the contest for an interceptor. He is doing a good job but is up against it. We need another big fwd, but who? JVR - looked ok on the weekend especially considering the conditions, he was also not too bad in the ruck. Presents well and attacks contests hard. Only issue is a young guy coming off a 5 day break after playing on a heavy 10 track, might be a bit hard on him. Smith - He is a unique proposition, I have a feeling he might be a good option which is big for me because I'm not usually a smith fan. I think he could be the aerial contest person we need to free up Brown and Fritta. He ran out the game well on the weekend and played ok without being outstanding. Only issue is he has a tendency to go for marks that others have better position. Weid - Very good game, presented well in the wet, linked well and ran out the game well. We have been here before do we go again? I think we have to play one of these three, but who? And who comes out? Maybe Sparrow? who has become a bit redundant since Brayshaw moving into the middle.

Yup 10 games, he doesn't travel, and it gives JVR good access to develop too. it's all a pipe dream but it could work if he wanted another medal. i think he is happily retired though

Cane Cornes saying Melb should be trying to drag Kennedy out of retirement isn't crazy. 2 years, one with coaching involved. Tell him we will manage him throughout the year and aim for about 10 games. it's pretty crazy and wont happen, but I'm not against it. could be a handy coach to get in too.

Like Hutchy said, sell it to him by saying you only play 10 games and finals. manage him. it wont happen but i would be all for it!
