It’s not the brains trust it’s the reality. It appears we’re going small this week. I don’t mind it, it’s as much the kick into the forwards as it is the forwards who need to improve. Yes I’d of liked JVR in the side but you can’t argue with his management this season. Couple of weeks to freshen up playing VFL, get Melk his 100 and hopefully Brown finds some form. If he can become a 2-4 goal a game player we’ll be a lot better off.

I’d say he’s going back to the 2’s to learn awareness of his opponent. The last 2 have shown him a lesson. He’s not the answer. I’ll bet my left leg we’re planning on Brown and JVR being surrounded by Pickett, Spargo, ANB and Petracca within a week or 2. Oliver being out is the headache

We have the best defence in the league, the best contested team in the league, it just makes no sense not turning inside, playing on and getting it forward quickly, preferably to a leading target. It shouldn't matter if it comes back out as we're so good defensively. Not only that it'll give our smalls so much more room to work in if 30 odd players aren't camped out in there. I can't help but think this is about to happen. I reckon the poor conditions our last 2 games have been played in have really jammed our groove. I'm going on Saturday as I'm fascinated to watch us on a dry track. I think we might just explode into action. Really wish Oliver was playing but them's the breaks.

You’d have to think Oliver is 2-3 weeks away but who’d know

Once we roll the Saints it’s the Lions, Crows and Tiges. If we win all 4 I dare say people will be boarding the DeeTrain at every station. Can’t wait. Great month of footy ahead
