  1. It gives Verrall time
  2. Interspersed with some sound football knowledge are your posts like this one. Fresh air and exercise is my tip if you’re feeling this way, works for me.
  3. Which is another reason he may actually be on the way out.
  4. We have no idea of how good or not McQualter has been at our club or how he could be in the future. He’s been working with one arm tied behind his back this year. He’s clearly rated highly in the industry and I doubt very much he’s our problem. I’m happy if he stays. I think we need others to change though. New eyes required.
  5. Sticking tackles and breaking tackles as well
  6. Watching Casey play. He’s not strong enough physically for mine nor does he hit contests hard enough for a key forward. He’s improving no doubts but he’s at least a big preseason away from a game. GC have a strong defence and we kick to the top of the square……you do the Math on that. By the way I’m looking forward to your training reports. Keep an eye out for players drinking beers and fighting between themselves and the coaches. 😂

As has been already suggested I’d trade next years first for another first this year and get JT to pick 2 ready to go skilled, quick draftees. If Trac remains unhappy and really wants to go next year he can go to the highest bidder. That’ll give us 2 good first rounders next year plus our NGA prospect and potentially Kalani White. We’ll then end up with a pretty red hot bunch of youngsters and away we go. If Trac can find peace again (I’m assuming the media reports hold some truth) then we’re still in a strong position. Hold on to your hats Demonlanders this is going to be one hell of a ride 👊💪🏆
  8. So now we want the club to read Demonland before selecting the team….? Watch Jefferson play, he’s miles off AFL
  9. Can you give us some of the text. I refuse to subscribe to the dribbler!

If it’s true that he’s cooled on Melbourne it’s possible his manager knows what’s going on behind the scenes and they aren’t keen. It’s also quite possible that we’re not interested in handing over pick 6 and ANB for him. It’s also possible that one of a number of Melbourne clubs came at him with a better offer. It’s also possible he wants a flag and doesn’t think we’ll deliver that……let’s prove him wrong.
  11. Is it just me or does Kane Cornes really dislike Melbourne? He’ll take a swipe at any opportunity. He’s been hammering Oliver since last year. There’s a point where the media need to be held to account. Yes he’s a highly paid sportsman but he’s also a troubled young kid. The balance of reporting is not there and never has been in relation to Oliver, throw in the ever present gambling ads and the AFL and it’s media pack are still along way off decent citizens.
  12. I’m of the mind we need to get players in who are either young and building form below great midfields or players who are playing in midfields. Over 28’s don’t grab me as I think we have enough of them.
  13. It’s called maturity
  14. Well if Koz requests a trade I will need to reappraise my 2025-26 predictions which always took a big hit in this news.
  15. I’m not sure what you’re saying here
  16. That’s a massive kick in the guts for the team. He’s so important to how we play. Sheesh, that’s some really bad news.

For mine her biggest job is to land a home base. They're aiming for Caulfield and will have to build from scratch. Making this happen is going to take a masterstroke from someone at the club, I'll hold judgement on her tenure until we see what unfolds. I'm guessing Caulfield is a safe Liberal seat so the club's going to need to find some serious cash as pork barrelling looks unlikely.
  18. These guys are muck rakers and nothing more. Look at the ensemble, you wouldn’t [censored] on them if they were on fire.

    Petracca Captain ANB Vice
  20. Compare that to the Hawks atm. They don't fumble at all, it's incredibly impressive. They also stick and break tackles. If we did that our game would look very different. I'll keep saying it but it's all about the off season. Some fresh faces and a revamped fitness program.
  21. When's Mac Andrew's contract up? He's exactly what we need.
  22. Rough season on display against Port……we looked like a bottom 8 side trying to beat a top 8 side through effort alone……looking forward to a top notch off season 🤞
  23. You asked for the facepalm 🤓
  24. I’d imagine TMac will retire but he may stay. I don’t yet see Jefferson as seriously ready to play one’s but we played Brown so I guess there’s no harm in him playing this week. I’m a Petty back person but I was also a Neitz back person. ( take a look at tapes of his battles with Carey to see why) As others have said Petty hasn’t been nearly as bad as many seem to think and if you think swapping him for an untried kid is the answer you’d be wrong. The fact is we need a preseason delivered by the footballing Gods. So much has to go right and for mine the biggest 2 are starting round 1 with Petracca and Oliver fully fit and fully focused. We can have all the game plan changes we like but it’ll count for little if these 2 aren’t in serious nick. You can’t cover your best 2 players at the pointy end of the season.
  25. Just beat Collingwood….thats all I want. It’ll be a good boost prior to one of the most important preseasons this club has faced in awhile. Fitness, clean hands, stick your tackles, break your tackles… just to start them off
