  1. I actually think he’s going to be an absolute ripper. I think in time he’ll make his way into the middle but there’s no rush. These wiry framed guys can end up holding their own in contested stuff. Put him beside Langford, Petracca and Oliver in a few years and he’ll go alright.
  2. Take that, misread the post. Still it’s an odd observation if a guy playing his first game.
  3. I reckon if they had their time again they’d go with the big 4 at the bounce.
  4. Didn’t Lindsay Rocket up that list!
  5. You weren’t watching. Lindsay put his body on the line at least 3 times right in front of me, copped some hits and got straight up.
  6. What was the alternative to 3 talls yesterday considering Pickett, Spargo and Melksham are all short term outs. I would of liked top see AJ off for Langford at 3/4 time but can see the thought behind Howes off and Rivers back. It may just be that Rivers is a HBFlanker and not a mid. I also thought the big 4 needed to be at the centre bounces for the last 15 minutes. Anyhoo we'll likely beat North and GC and forget about this soon enough.
  7. I don't think you can say we lost that game because we played 3 tall forwards. Who do you suggest we play as a replacement. Others have suggested Billings. He's a winger and he's vanilla at best, he doesn't change the forward structure. Until Pickett, Spargo and Melksham are back I'm not sure we have another option.
  8. I actually thought that as a debut game he had a good one. I watched him pretty closely and thought he made good leads and on enough occasions got himself into good positions to mark. Whilst he didn't mark he helped bring the ball to ground and fought hard at ground level. I'd play him for the next 6 weeks at least to see what he can learn. He looked better than I expected against a formidable backline.
  9. This is such a tired argument. We're not a big club and likely never will be. We're loud enough and we're not a bunch of toothless ferals with no respect for anyone else at the game. I thought the Irish dancers after the goal added a fantastically comical element to yesterday's game and I had an awesome day bar the last 58 seconds.
  10. I actually thought we kicked ok most of the day.
  11. I think TMac can replace Howes until McVee comes in. He’s too good not to play.
  12. And after today I can do the Irish jig after every goal……Go Dee’s!
  13. You’re a goose. You want to sit next to me. I’m neither quiet nor nervous.
  14. For those that haven’t watch Kingsley’s presser.
  15. They hurt, we were aghast that no one was on the goal line with the ball pinging around like it was.
  16. The only problem is Fritsch gets lost further up. His best role is deep forward.
  17. Fritsch won’t be dropped. Spargo must be half a chance, Kynan Brown also likely in the mix.
  18. It made me happy. She’s excellent at reports as well.
  19. The piece of play where Windsor gathers and then dodges 2 GWS players and hits up Jefferson lace out was worth the price of admission. He wasn't prolific but boy oh boy was he good. If Max had dished off to him like he should have we may well have won today. The other gold was Xavier Lindsay, not only is he clean, calm and skilled he doesn't mind backing into a pack. Those 2 alone will see us improve this year. I had a great day with my kids. My Fifteen year old daughter who's a Demon but never been a massive fan said, and I quote "I get it now, let's go every week" Bugger for losing but my confidence in what lies ahead hasn't diminished because of a 3 point loss to the GF favourite.
  20. Watch the last play again. There was a lot of luck in that, that was no set play and we were literally a roll of the ball from regaining possession twice if not 3 times.
  21. How did Spargo go?
  22. I trust an extensive report will follow the match KC.
  23. Brisbane have had the toughest prep all all teams and they beat Sydney on their patch. No excuses today. Effort, effort, effort.
  24. Rain will be well gone by 3, relax folks, turn up and enjoy the win. It'll blow over by around one and then give the ground 2 hours to dry out.
