We have the best midfield in the comp, one of the top few defences in the comp but we lack a key forward and perhaps some outside dash. Key forwards are very hard to come by and unless it's the Suns or GWS rarely get let go by clubs. We're getting Grundy, improving our draft hand this year and next and have 2-3 AFL standard players ready at Casey to step up in 2023. We've still got a week to go and then the draft, how can anyone say we're sitting on our hands with regards to our list. Our list is the envy of the competition and as far as I can see it's only injuries between us and at least one more Premiership. Geelong are a couple injuries away from getting flogged in Semi's again, the Swans showed they've got a while to go, the Tiges are trying to do a Geelong and the Pies will fall back as that run was very flukey. I'm personally very bullish about 2023 and I'm very rarely wrong. :)

There no chance Jackson goes to the PSD or plays for us or sits out a year. You chest puffers need to give that rubbish a rest. He’s most likely going to Freo and an outside chance to go the WC. We’ll get fairly compensated and move on. I’d be astounded if at the end of the trade and draft period this club isn’t better off than it was before. Player movement is now part of the game and we’ve be adept at using it to our advantage.

Personally I think Brown and TMac are largely cooked and if we're building our 2023 forward line around them we may just be as well. I'd suggest the club can't let Weideman go because we need 2 solid targets in the forward line and it's possible he'll be one of them. Maybe JVR will be the other but lets reserve judgement until we know he's actually up to being an AFL grade key forward! If the club aren't chasing a key forward such as Georgiades I'd be very surprised. Both Brown and TMac are running on borrowed time but who knows they may kick 100 goals between them in 2023
