  1. McVee, Windsor, Lindsay, Langford, Bowey, Pickett and Turner are all looking like becoming excellent players, as good as the top half dozen at any club. It’s fine to be down on this year, the game plan and the kicking for goal but we have the young talent already on the list.
  2. Because our senior players can’t kick the ball 20m to a target, behave like Prima Donna’s and oversized 4 year olds. Past Gawn the leadership vacuum would suck the smell out of a dog blanket.
  3. I think this is how I’m feeling as well. I think Goodwin will stay but I’d be happy for change
  4. McVee Lindsay Langford Windsor Pickett Turner Chandler Rivers Bowey Howes JVR Tholstrup I’d throw in Petty, AMW, others would have Jeffferson in. Mentha may develop, Culley may prove useful. Then you’ve potentially got Kalani White who could be a the next Sam Darcy or a bust. There’s a really good start to a solid team but you wallow in whatever you enjoy wallowing in.
  5. He’s coming to Melbourne who have promising young talent and some respectable veterans. Carlton have respectable veterans but no promising young talent. They’re on the fast road to irrelevance again and personally I’m loving having you alongside Essendon as long time losers.
  6. So you watched us through the 80’s and 2000’s but you won’t watch us now?
  7. I really hope we’re a little more aggressive at trades than we normally are. Partly to keep me entertained but also because we need 2-3 good kickers and we’ll likely need to use players to get them. We can’t go into next year with the same 23.
  8. There’s no excuses this year which is why the entire football department needs to be looked at at years end. We’ve underperformed on the only important metric, winning games. I think Goodwin survives because he’s contracted and appears to have the necessary support. I can’t see a world where Richardson has a job. Tim Lamb needs to work some serious magic on this list whilst it’s still possible.
  9. He’s not who we need right now. We need to keep adding elite kicks and guys who don’t panic. Bergman and Butters would be ideal.
  10. If they were Melbourne we’d be saying they’ve been dropping games because of mid season loading. They play us this weekend. We’ll beat them and a tiny glint will appear in our eyes…..maybe just maybe we can still win this!
  11. Bergman is our target I hope
  12. May should be retired or shipped out to North at year’s end. He’s nowhere near our next serious tilt and thus expendable
  13. I am yet to watch a game where Mac Andrew rates anymore than an average tall back man. I don’t see the hype.
  14. Good reports folks and in well ahead of time. I'm with DubDee, 5-9 and virtually no injuries, that's simply nowhere near good enough. I'm presuming that we're holding back the likes of Lindsay, Langford and Windsor from midfield roles until they're strong and fit enough. There's literally no world where I'm playing Oliver, Petracca and Viney in the same midfield. Petracca plays the rest of the year forward and is told he needs to learn to embrace the physicality of the game again. Oliver is no longer allowed to kick it unless he absolutely has to and Viney is played as a small forward. Oliver, Pickett, Rivers, Langdon, Langford, Bowey can all run through the middle. I do really hope we use the rest of the season to try new possibilities even if it means losing winnable games.
  15. Is he at draft age this year?
  16. The club makes a statement that it doesn’t believe in further advertising a company with extremely dubious methods of getting business. Sure it likely won’t turn the dial very much but it starts the conversation and now very few clubs lean on gambling directly. It’s now time the AFL got on board. Problem is those in the big house are amateurs with little no social conscience who love the long lunches gambling provides.
  17. Exactly, does anyone think Caddy or Morris would be any good for us, they’d look like JVR, bereft of confidence. It’s why we can’t persist with the Butcher Trio in the middle together.
  18. Do some research into the harm gambling causes annd how the companies deal with problem gamblers and tell me they should be advertise everywhere and to our kids.
  19. I’d say there’s a range of illness and issues underlying it but read some of the accounts of problem gamblers and their interactions with gambling companies. It’s quite unbelievable what they do to keep you spending money. Countless stories of people losing their homes and then being offered 30,40K and more into their accounts as the companies know they’ll lose that and more.
  20. No it does not. Gambling is causing widespread harm, dig into the suicide rates and gambling shows up at every turn. I’m very happy the club has said no as you should be.
  21. Disagree 100% Take a look at his form last year, he’s had an injury interrupted preseason, second year blues. He’ll be a 200 gamer, worth every cent
  22. We're making solid profits without them. The money will come, it's not the issue. Getting a big Green light to commence work is what we're all waiting for.
  23. We weren’t the only ones to miss him. He’s got some elite kicks drilling it down his throat atm. He’d be lucky to take a mark with Petracca, Oliver, Viney and Rivers kicking it everywhere but out in front.
  24. That’s completely 100% incorrect
