  1. So it is OK to recruit Bennell with his background and it is OK to hang onto Brayshaw with his concussion issues but it is not OK to recruit a guy like McCartin who in his words is over his concussion issues.. That make stupid sense... NOT !
  2. Paddy McCartin is effectively delisted by St Kilda. Do you guys think we should recruit him for 2021 season. Seems to be over his concussion issues and wants to continue playing. Only 24 years of age. Maybe Richardson should have some input on that matter. BUT only if the Demons change their game style and kick inside 50 more accurately. 49 inside 50's for 8 Goals is deplorable. McCartin could add versatility and we could swing T Mc back to CHB
  3. I agree they are either guilty or not guilty. There is no "in between" or "negotiation scenario" Typical Eddie and the colliwobbles.
  4. Do not lecture me you fool. I read what was written and my comments are relevant.
  5. Totally agree. That was my concern also. But I am sure players realise they are picked with things like 1. Weather 2. The opposition etc is concerned.
  6. Absolute stupid comments that only inflame a sound Board, a sound Club and Coaching group at present. How about looking at the facts such as the reason for the terrible year last year.. ( due entirely to a massive amount of required operations post 2018 season which is to some extent beyond the Coaches or the Clubs control) . Look at the fact that they brought in Darren Burgess as a high profile Trainer and not to forget the fact that this season is an upset unplanned year due to Covid. How about supporting our Club as it stands and not place yourself above people who are in the know. Your comments are disgusting and frankly do more harm than good.
  7. Well at least the Demons will be assured of a win tomorrow
  8. Just sour grapes from a few who will not give Goodwin more time. He is a good coach and needs supporting.
  9. O Mc no way!!!!!!!!! he will be playing for the Bombers again... T Mc CHB and the Weid at CHF otherwise I agree.
  10. Play T Mc at CHB, drop Smith and bring in Hibberd for the experience against the Bombers. Also, someone needs to make way for Pickett so who it gonna be ??? CHF to go to the Weid but who ya gonna drop....?
  11. That is the best suggestion I have heard all year. McD Tom type needs to return to CHB and maybe bring in the Weid at CHF. Either way Smith must go and the experience of Hibberd should return for the Essendon game.
  12. I really think you are being too hard on a Team that has not payed for twelve weeks. The Club needs to settle its players down and YES there were mistakes Saturday but we need to learn from them and move on. Even Coach Goodwin admitted that. On a different note I feel that Smith needs to go out and Hibberd needs to come back in. ( Experience counts) McDonald needs to find his straps otherwise he will be on the outer as well. As for Rivers, yep, he is going to be good as will Jackson from what I saw from over here live in the USA
  13. Smith maybe unlucky and miss out this week and I think Hunt and Jones/ ANB may make way for Pickett and Vanders. I do not even think that Jackson will miss out. He will be given more weeks for confidence building. Agree CFB needs a O Mc but I am not a fan as sometimes he plays for the opposition when he gives away goals.Maybe Hibberd comes in for Smith at CHB...?? Lever def a half back flanker in my mind.
  14. This article is behind a pay wall Can someone please re post it outside of the pay wall.

Justin Blumfield 2005 Considered for the spot on the list left open by Troy Broadbridge Kris Barlow 2005 Considered for the spot on the list left open by Troy Broadbridge Brad Sewell 2005 Ryan Ferguson refused a 2005 trade that would have seen him switch to Hawthorn as a swap for Sewell. Went on to win two premierships with the Hawks. Chris Judd 2007 Childhood Melbourne fan who named Melbourne as one of his four potential clubs before choosing Carlton Robert Warnock 2008 Almost lured to the club before choosing Carlton after 2008 . His brother Matthew played for the Demons at the time. Shaun Burgoyne 2009 Named Melbourne as one of his three preferred clubs when he left Port Adelaide. Joined Hawthorn. Luke Ball 2009 Courted by the Demons but nominated Collingwood as his preferred club. Despite some suggestion that Melbourne would use National Draft selection 18 on him, they did not. Mitch Thorp 2009 Former top ten Hawthorn pick who was sacked from the Hawks with a year left on his contracted. Trained with the Demons as a potential key forward but was not selected after failing medical tests. David Hale 2010 Former North Melbourne ruckman linked heavily to the Demons during trade week 2010. Despite the suggestion that Hale would go to either club, he eventually landed at Hawthorn when the Hawks trumped Melbourne's offer. 1998 Agreed to join then changed his mind and stayed at West Coast

  18. My gut feeling is we would have.. Just think Jordan Lewis would have played for only one Club.... Ha ha ha ha
  19. Who remembers the Hawthorn Demons jumper... At least we would have won a Premiership or three since 1964
