  1. The backline was (5) Crompton, (37)Massey, (33) Miller
  2. Joel Smith at only 23 yrs of age and Vanders in his twilight years are two players who if fit in 2020 will add much needed grunt to our forward half. Smith has traits from his father on the field when he plays without injury. Playing him and Vanders on a half forward flank maybe just what we need.
  3. Wonder if we will have just one Captain this year ?
  4. If you are referring to me I would ask that as adults we be civil towards each other. I was a 40 year Demon member and have now moved to the USA with my American wife so I would respectfully ask that you do not make any snide remarks. We are all here for one reason and that is to discuss the MFC and what it means to each of us. Thankyou and I trust you appreciate my polite response. Like you I do not appreciate snide remarks.
  5. Ok I believe you. I have it diaried for draft night.
  6. I take your point except plenty of good footballers played their first game when 17 or 18 yrs of age. The likes of Ablett Jnr, Robbie Flower etc. I just hope we do not pick a lemon. I recall Clayton Oliver was a smokey pick jumping up the ranks very quickly. So hope you are right about Kemp.
  7. Q: Is it wise to pick a player like Kemp who may be sidelined for twelve months and would be selected based on minimal past records. ? i acknowledge his athleticism and history.
  8. WOW!!! Personally I feel we will hold all of these players that the Club seems fit to want to re contract, but seriously, look at Geelong. I can see many Clubs pouncing on this group of 15
  9. I think you are being hard on a guy who is a part of a Team. To develop he needs to have the rest of the team around him playing well.. Charlie has played some very good games particularly towards the end of 2018 season when we were in finals contention . Frankly all players were down last year not the least was Charlie. He is not a Garlett who to me was a self interested $$ player and I liken him to Jeff Farmer, he has shown his best and his best is good. Give him a go in 2020 when we have outside mids, when we have, hopefully fewer injuries, when we have a team wanting to do their best and I am confident he will be around the 22 mark,
  10. I feel we are splitting hairs if we are talking about a variance of 2/3 % in comparing TOG. Management of players and correct or best placement of players is more important. Hell, I could be on the ground 100% and have one touch and be at the top of the TOG tree. Think the Journo was hard up for a story....
  11. Think we need to have Preuss adapt to the MFC style rather than accept him as a second string ruckman. 2020 should be the year the Club coaches do this
