I think you are being hard on a guy who is a part of a Team. To develop he needs to have the rest of the team around him playing well.. Charlie has played some very good games particularly towards the end of 2018 season when we were in finals contention . Frankly all players were down last year not the least was Charlie. He is not a Garlett who to me was a self interested $$ player and I liken him to Jeff Farmer, he has shown his best and his best is good.
Give him a go in 2020 when we have outside mids, when we have, hopefully fewer injuries, when we have a team wanting to do their best and I am confident he will be around the 22 mark,
