  1. He could be the point of difference we need in our midfield mix, I like it. Speed and endurance are two things we don’t have near enough of
  2. So we’ve pulled a swifty and drafted 2 half back flankers? I hope one of these two is prolific with goal assists and goal kicking, we need it
  3. Will be interesting to see how quickly Bowey and Laurie push for a game and how long it’s deemed acceptable for Kossie to get under 10 touches and zero goals. Competition for spots will be hotly contested in 2021
  4. Ooze must have skipped a lot of leg days
  5. Can’t be too optimistic, we are Melbourne supporters after all
  6. This off season it feels like the club has been tracking demonland and tried to tick off everyone’s ideas ? Think Chocco is exactly what Max/Clarry/Gus/Trac/Viney/Harmes all need. Someone to give them a few home truths and challenge them to be better collectively. I believe our midfield group could be 10-20% better with a bit more hunger and accountability in their performance.
  7. Our list isn’t in the top 8 in the Comp
  8. Melksham must incriminating have photos of @Werridee, like he does of Goody. Keeping him out of the side is very important for our chances next year
  9. Interesting side @WERRIDEE
  10. If you could live that life and play for a side (Geelong) that makes finals every year, you’d be on the first flight outta there too
  11. Geelong appeals to those who surf or like that lifestyle. Being in Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads, Torquay, Anglesea, Aireys Inlet or even Moggs Creek is very different to Hobart. Let’s not forget, Tassie and particularly Hobart is bloody cold and wet in winter. Would take a very special type to want to relocate down there to play
  12. I don’t disagree with you, but there’s no way on earth we are winning the flag next year. I’m as negative about our prospects as you, don’t worry
  13. Saw a snippet of David King talking about Carlton’s chances in 2021, one remark he made stood out to me as very relevant to Melbourne. I’m paraphrasing a little, but he said building for a flag is more important than aiming to make finals. If your aim is to make finals, you’ll just be a middle of the road team indefinitely - I know King flops around depending on which way the wind blows, but we need to be working towards becoming ready to win a flag, rather than just making finals. The most important position for us to finish in this year is as a really genuine flag contender for 2022 (if not 2021)
  14. I remember randomly watching a Sydney game and he looked good - think it was probably in his first 5 games too
  15. You’d hope they think this way, they are not exactly flushed with KPF talent
  16. From all reports he blitzed preseason 2020 and it got him nowhere after Round 1. I think he could be a very important piece of the puzzle if he does come on. Could be a FP or HFF spot waiting for him
  17. Something must have happened following round 1, from memory he wasn’t too bad. Then suddenly was left behind in Melbourne and not considered. Would have preferred him get a year of games than Melksham
  18. He vanished last year, strange one. He deserves more
  19. What about losing one pocket at either end, with a 2 man FF line and 3 man flank. Or some kind of rolling 5 man’s forward setup. That would open up space and reduce 3rd man up
  20. I haven’t watched the video yet, but it’s very common for people who are a little different to the stereotypical footballer to be ostracised. Can imagine Glen Archer and BBB not seeing eye to eye because one’s a footballer only and the other has a reasonable IQ
  21. Think the top 5 from 2020 are a level above the rest, however there has never been a bigger leg up given than Brisbane this year. Dogs, Pies, Saints obvious ones to try and surpass. Brisbane are potentially vulnerable. Having said that, I think West Coast will improve next year. They had a horror run away from home which won’t happen again. Richmond, West Coast, Port, Geelong would be my only guarantees at making the 8. We would be in the next group which contains 6-7 teams that could all make it. My hope is we charge on forward and push the top 4 - more realistic expectation is are fighting for a spot in the 8 until the very last round, same as 2020. Just Hope game time gets longer again and Benny Brown can give North the bird by kicking 40+
  22. There was absolutely no way the pies and Treloar could have gone on next year
  23. Absolute bargain. When does Coleman medal betting open, he's a big chance
  24. Tend to agree that he can play a role, but I think he believes he is above that. He seems to always be trying to pull off the impossible. \I hope we are strong enough that he doesn't have a permanent spot for 2021, it was bewildering that he played every game
  25. Everyone can bash Dodo, but he's been kissed on the D$%# this trade period
