Gone in 40 seconds.
There were 15 seconds left after Clarry scored. Plenty of time to kick a fourth goal. Trac won the final clearance but couldn't quite get clear to deliver inside 50

2022 Financial Report
Not thinking small at all just stating a fact SWYL We have a small base because we have been success starved. Now that we are back on the winners podium we can grow the base particularly by attracting the kids. So good to see so many running around in Demons gear We can absolutely grow and rival the Pies, Bombers, Carlton and Essendon. We carry the name of the city we reside in, play an exciting brand, have very marketable stars like Gawny and Trac and age demographic wise have a young list so can dominate for a few years. And we have a very good womens team who are capable of a flag themselves. They will attract female members hopefully. With sustained success over the next few years we should aim for 100,000 members. No reason we canโt hit that mark

I think it would be a great site as well but we are all in on the MCG precinct

2022 Fixture
I like the fixture because i get to go to Alice, play against decent opposition (as opposed to the Suns) so should be a good game and we get well paid by the NT government. We've just won a finals series on the road, obliterating the opposition in the process so away fixtures hold no fear for me. And i'm certainly not afraid of Port Adelaide, probably the biggest down hill skiers in the comp.

2022 Financial Report
It's difficult for us because we don't have a large supporter base. We only made a profit because of the large boost we got from merch sales as a result of the GF win I don't know what Essendon and Carlton did this year but i suggest we copy it. $8m and $20m is an unbelievable effort from them

2022 Financial Report
To be profitable during Covid is a minor miracle. We would be in a deep hole if we hadnโt played finals again this year and would likely have had to tap the AFL for cash Weโll have a windfall from the Bentleigh club sale but those funds will be earmarked for the home base youโd think. We have to get the home base off the ground and ensure it is income generating upon completion. Getting that project right is critical to set the club up for financial security into the future. Outside of football it has to be out No 1, 2 and 3 priority. I expect Kate Roffey to deliver in this regard but I am weary and impatient with the slow progress

2022 Financial Report
On field success leads to off field financial success. Very difficult to be financially secure if not playing and winning finals. well done all. Great outcome with hopefully more to follow over the next few years

2022 Fixture
No premier gets an easy draw and anyways we are better off with a difficult fixture list. Toughens us up for finals. And remember we beat all the Top 8 last year other than the umpire influenced loss to the Doggies at the G. It's the lesser teams we struggled against.

2022 Fixture
That would be good. An after the siren goal to win it would be better
-
2022 Fixture
Bring it on i say Assuming a reasonable run with injuries i expect to finish with 19 or 20 wins. Can't see anyone beating us tbh but we're bound to have 1 or 2 off days i suppose

Clayton Oliver Interview
This Clayton Oliver podcast popped into my feed. He is in relaxed form and gives some insights into his early career and from the Grand Final. Credit to Dylan Buckley (I've never listened to his podcast before) he is a good interviewer.

Dees to Return to the Red Centre in 2022
I'd love to head to Alice. Would prefer to have better opposition that the Suns though. Us v Lions would be a great option

Grand Final Celebration at the G
The one pointless aspect of the day were the 2 screens set-up at ground level on the far side of the ground. Far too small to be of any use. Perhaps a condensed replay as well, there were parts which cut quite easily be cut.

Grand Final Celebration at the G
I got to the G just before midday. Didnโt see a Dees goal until almost 1pm! The crowd were subdued until then but once the 3rd qtr turnaround commenced everyone was right into it cheering every goal to the rafters. Best rendition of Grand Old Flag at the siren ever. Everyoneโs lungs were bursting belting it out. A lot of mentions of winning it at the G in 22. I think is a genuine motivator for this group. Weโll be firm favorites. Looking forward to it See you all in 2022. Go Dees
