  1. Correct but i reckon the cats will bow out in straight sets and either GWS or Sydney will come through instead
  2. Phenomenal leader. And best moustache in the AFL
  3. Last night was the most momentus victory for this club in my time. I posted last year that this win was easily the best H&A win in my 15 years supporting the Dees (to be fair ‘06 to ’17 was a wasteland so not much competition). I didn’t even consider comparing to our finals victories of ’18 cos obviously finals victories are a level above H&A victories. Right The more I have thought about it today the more I believe that this win tops those finals wins in ’18 (and the elim final victory in ’06 for that matter). Those 2 nights at the G in 18 were amazing. The place was rocking and it really felt like we had finally arrived as a team. As we all know we fell in a heap in the prelim and ’19 was a nightmare season. We rode the crest of a wave in ’18 but ultimately those wins were built on porous foundations. Last night’s victory and performance feels different. It had real substance to it. It was the culmination of what we have been building towards. The manner of the comeback, the team we played, the location, Maxy kicking the winner after the siren. The leadership, guts, never say die attitude was something to behold. The exact qualities we have been missing since forever. It was the embodiment of the new Melbourne. It was no fluke. We’ve fought back in other games this year, most notably against the Lions. If we do when the flag this year we will look back at this game as the catalyst that propelled us to the promised land. The moment when the team and the faithful truly started to believe. I'm convinced we will win it and no amount of MFCSS will change my mind THIS IS OUR YEAR
  4. 6 Clarry 5 Gawn 4 Lever 3 Kossie 2 Trac 1 Salem

They're dangerous for sure but i think scrapping the bye is huge for us. They've been on the road for a long time now, will have played 2 tough finals (reckon the game between them and GWS is 50/50) while we'll be fresh if we face them
  6. Reckon Adelaide is the go. Short distance to travel. There's a chance we will play a GF there so best familiarise ourselves with the ground. And after our epic comeback at the cattery last night I doubt playing Port there in a GF will hold any fears for this group of players.
  7. Swings and roundabouts. I don't think we would have got the advantage in the first place if their was a crowd there last night influencing the umps and the outcome of the game

Geelong won't recover from that lose. absolute confidence crusher. I predict a straight sets exit Doggies form has deserted them. I reckon they'll lose their elim final GWS or Sydney to win through to a prelim with the Lions No bye a huge advantage for us and Port. And Port with home advantage a great chance to make the GF. We'll win through as well Port and Dees GF i reckon
  9. Paddy Dangerfield had zero possessions in the last quarter. Lol
  10. To make this a perfect weekend we need Freo to beat St Kilda and the bombers to sheet the bed against the pies. Long odds of that happening but its been a crazy weekend so who knows.
  11. I was looking forward to reading some indulgent whining from the cats supporters and hating on them. The comments are very reasonable though. I hope we're that gracious when we lose
  12. So far this morning, I’ve watched the mini replay and the last quarter through. I’ve watched the last 2 mins about 5 times. I’m floating on air For all those battling through the Covid blues I suggest you keep the last 47 seconds of that game close at hand to play when you’re down in the dumps. The best 47 seconds in my time supporting this club. And the celebrations afterwards. Guaranteed to pick you up Twas written in the stars. Or perhaps we’re living in some sort of giant simulation. IT had to be scripted but of all people for it to be Maxy to take that mark and win after the siren. Bat sheet mental I’m going to spend the rest of the day consuming nothing but Demons related content. Lockdown will be a breeze today.
  13. He has been written off before and bounced back. His first half was dreadful but second there was some improvement. That win will give the whole team a lift including TMac. I'm backing him in to regain his form v Brisbane
  14. The 2nd quarter was a horror show. So many players way down on output. they were unrecognisable from the team we've seen all year But we regrouped at half time and got to work. stemmed the bleeding in the 3rd and then produced the most significant quarter of football i've ever seen from this club. This team has guts and belief to go with bags of talent. It will take us all the way this year in my humble opinion
  15. I second that. Great work @Mr Steve.
  16. Best H&A win in my time supporting the Dees I won't be able to sleep for hours
  17. Simply magnificent The best possible way to finish the season. What a boost for our confidence heading into finals This is our year. I can feel it in my bones I just hope you Dees supporters are able to enjoy this and give the team every ounce of support you can muster. We are such a fragile fan group.
  18. Man up Dees
  19. Yep. he can;t do anything right tonight but he'll probably score the winning goal
  20. Fritsch didn;t need to do that. Keep your heads Dees. You can win this
  21. only 13 points down. Plenty of time. FMD this is on
  22. We couldn't. Could we?
  23. how was that not delivberate
  24. at least we stemmed the bleeding. Let's put in a shift for 1 more quarter and get out of here with a 25 point loss and no injuries
