My Round 16 Preview and Prediction
GWS were very poor v the hawks. they had a great chance to move into the 8 and completely fluffed their lines. They are just not very good Toby Greene is a super player. We'll have to keep a close eye on him. It's a job for May I reckon. Contain Greene and i don't think the Giants have much else to offer. If we kick straight we win by 6-7 goals. If we don't them it'll be another nervous 10-15 point win

Melbourne to sell the Bentleigh Club
The proceeds will help fund our new home base. If we ever get a new home base.

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Essendon
Percentage should not be an aim in and of itself. It’s a by-product. We don’t get full value for our dominance because we miss too many gettable set-shots. Its going to cost us one of these days. Improve our goal kicking and our percentage takes care of itself.

NON MFC: Rd 15 2021
We haven't put teams away like the doggies have but we beat them without too much fuss when we played them. Our system and structure beat their champagne football. We nullified Libba at source, denied them space through the corridor and that was the game. Beveridge has his work cut out devising a plan against us. We’ve beaten all the top teams. The dogs have lost to Geelong, Richmond and us. I reckon they are more worried about us than we are of them. We beat them comprehensively once and I back us to beat them again at the G

It's a pity the West Coast crowd aren't present to witness this. Neck and neck with Essendon as the most entitled supporters in the league.

If Ben Brown doesnt play the rest of the year
He did what he had to do today. If he can take the best defender and contribute 2 goals a game its a big win for us. He's well capable of that imv. Let's get him back in and see if we can make it work. We need to find out sooner rather than later. If it fails we can revert back to the extra small.

Scar tissue - long suffering MFC supporter issues
Top of the table, no injuries, no contract concerns, game plan stands up, everyone has bought in. And we haven't hit top gear yet. There's improvement to come. The one team i was really worried about have run aground. There'll be no norm smith for dusty this year. We should not fear any other team in this league. Just need to sharpen our goal kicking (BB finding form would be huge) and fingers crossed we have luck with injuries. We're in great shape for a proper crack at the flag.

CHANGES: Rd 16 vs GWS
Brown has to come in. We need a reliable goal kicker as TMac will have off nights I think sparrow is the one to make way. He's done nothing wrong but i don't think we should break-up the spargo nibbler kozzie unit

CASEY DEMONS: Rd 11 vs Essendon
Very satisfactory afternoon. BB kicked a bag. Has to start v GWS. No point waiting. Jonesy very good , Melks, Baker, Vanders all in amongst it. The Weid was up and down. Hopefully he can build some confidence over the next few weeks and be ready if called upon. Of the youngsters Bowey looks composed. Classy player. Developing nicely. Laurie quieter but he’s had a long lay-off. Rosman has a lot of development to go before being considered for the firsts.

CASEY DEMONS: Rd 11 vs Essendon
Goal kicking this weekend from both Casey and the firsts has been terrible.

We're much better than Essendon but haven't made it count on the scoreboard. I'm having a feeling of deja vu

This is a hard watch. Doubt we'll learn a whole lot about BB's form today.

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Essendon
I love this bloke. Delighted we brought him to the club. Him and Lever easily the best defensive pair in the league. Both excellent defenders and always upfront and honest in interviews

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Essendon
How satisfying to beat the bombers and listen to their fans losing their minds. It was far from pretty but very effective. Essendon like to run and carry but we held them up easily. They broke through the middle a couple of times but we mostly had them exactly where we wanted them. They had to resort to bombing it in for May and Lever to gobble up. Love it when a plan comes off. Winning tight games is never a bad thing and a great habit to develop. There will be lots of nail bitters through the rest of this season I reckon so I’m worried for any Dees supporters with a heart condition. I would love to see us put teams to sword as much as the next Dees fan but teams don’t win in September by blowing opponents off the park. It’s through pressure and intensity and defence. We have these in spades. Our only weakness at the moment is our goal kicking. My nightmare is losing a big final because of inaccuracy. I’m wishing and hoping and praying that BB can get fit and back into the side.

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Essendon
You had us down for a loss to Essendon Why do you think we will suddenly start losing to top 8 rivals when we've won all our games against them so far this season?
