PREGAME: Rd 11 vs St. Kilda
Langdon and JVR are top INs. I reckon we have tried with Petty's pre-season during the season and Petty is a goer/skilled but he needs a month of working hard on the track and maybe a half at Casey each week. Petty's only decent half was against Geelong - but before and since he's looked a fraction of the player from last year due to not having the right prep of a pre-season.

Umpiring (Demonland in meltdown)
great pick up D King right about how hard to call a decision when a Faker is on deesplay!

Umpiring (Demonland in meltdown)
to fix up umpiring decisions, I would: >get rid of insufficient attempt both on the boundary and goal lines (it makes umpires mind readers) >get football's microchipped and linked to the GPS so no need for goal umpires, which is sad, but this pays for the IT for scoring (imagine how good this will be for junior footy games that can't get parents, or if they do the parents are accused of bias) >slash interchange numbers so as to bring in less congestion and thus less tackles and less holding the ball decisions >stop Geelong's Hawkins from pushing out his opponents in the back and the side (both of these are not allowed under the laws) >allow throwing as so many handpasses are throws and you can handpass a ball further than you can throw it >get rid of boundary umpires and field umpires and just have central umpires >get rid of The Filth; Linton St; Royal Parade Cheaters; Hypocrite Hwy; Dump Road and Alberton >give the Deees an academy named The Harrison Academy after the Father of Football and our first presdient

Umpiring (Demonland in meltdown)
Firstly, I can't stand Linton St, nor Carltank, nor the AFL. Secondly: the 300K umpire is like winning on Triple Chins' Minnionaire show - it's rare! You have to have officiated more than 200 games, umpire most games that year and do all the finals. Most field umpires are on 100K but their tenure is sometimes as short at two years, so, with them numbers (I went to Broady Tech), you have to stay working in your elected career.

Umpiring (Demonland in meltdown)
Firstly, I can't stand Linton St, nor Carltank, nor the AFL. Secondly, I love the Deees! The touch of the ball by May is impossible with the human eye - we need the tech, which cricket and tennis have had for years. But those sports are international, 12-months, and confined to a small area. Further, AFL won't spend the $s on tech as it is putting $s into the developing states.

2024 Fixture
Firstly, I can't stand that mob from Linton St that only TAKES from the AFL (like the crowd from Moorabool that only takes from tax payers and never reciprocates)! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAYhNHhxN0A couldn't have The Saint intro as good as it is as I am The Anti-Saint and lets face it attending all of the Dees games in 2024 is Mission Impossible!

AFL gives explanations but they don't overturn results. Time for an NFL style coachs challenge IMO

wait QD - you have put in punctuation (Germie would think that as "punch-you-at-infinite-times"). Germie never takes a breath cos "I'm Germie and I am The Greatest from The Family Club"! So, not only does it not make sense with his guff my brain can't digest the guff as it is overflowing! Like a broken sewer pipe!~

you mean a Germ gem! 5-2 was good enough with our injuries and draw! of course i wanted to deefeat Lions n swans but we were without Kozalenko You Beauty! due to Kozzi's lack of discipline. Germ only thinks of life from view along Hypocrite Hwy - the Family Club which promoted toughness but it was legalised thuggery IMO (Germ, Dipper, Ayres, Jeans the leaders - did I miss anyone like Tuck?). Germ from one awful club and he has no idea of current footy tactics!

Best Recruits from Other Clubs
that list is from 2008 i take it by Mike Sheehan - a massive Robbie fan. I can easily find room for Robbie on that list by taking out these (interesting all but Silvagni were happy to dish outside of the laws of the game rules but were heralded as stars): 35. Stephen Silvagni 28. Jack Dyer 10. Greg Williams 7. John Nicholls 6. Tony Lockett 4. Gary Ablett 3. Ted Whitten 2. Leigh Matthews 1. Wayne Carey

Best Recruits from Other Clubs
hello this might not be the first time this topic has been canvassed on DL but I listened to last week's Deemonland podcast (the Rd 4 deefeat of Adelaide) today. I listen a week late as I, like many of us here, suffer from MFCSS - so I keep a positive game review in the bank for a week - so this week, after the Dee-vasting loss against the AFL-backed Brisbane - I listen to happiness and not the downer of a loss. On the Rd 4 podcast the question of Steven May or Jake Lever or Ed Langdon being our best recruit from another club. I love 'em all and boy how good our recruiting star Jason Taylor - recruited by coach Mark Neeld BTW! Some other names were raised: Dietrich twice from that organisation in Moorabbin (I can't type that name of that place); Jeffie White from FreddoFrogs; and Brett Lovett from Hawthorn reserves (three seasons in that club's seconds and not an easy club to break into during the Dawks' golden era: post-Matthews, but his approach to the game taken over by Brereton and Dippierdomenico and Lovett did not approach footy like them). I have two more names to add - as an honourable mention Henry Coles but what about Laurie Fowler? Fowler three Blueys. 1975, '79 and '80 (retired in 1981) and they were all when Robbie was playing. I am Dee-sappointed that Robbie only won on Bluey (1977). I looked up their games played in each of these four years as Robbie used to be humble when asked of his one-and-only Bluey stating how good Laurie was. So, 1975 Laurie all 22 games - Robbie 20; 1977 Laurie 17 games and Robbie 20; 1979 Laurie and Robbie both 21 games; 1980 Laurie 21 games and Robbie 22. I don't know the voting numbers of each but based on the Blueys - Laurie has to be one of the best recruits we've ever landed from another club. Just wish he'd wiped out Nicholls when wearing the RnB and not when playin for Dump Rd! And, can you believe it's been 10 years since Robbie died? thanks DL podcasters and bloggers. A-S
