  1. You're welcome to look back at my posts for my track record so far. You're also welcome to talk about footy instead of other posters, give it a try sometime.
  2. I never said he wanted out. This thread is a question, not a statement.
  3. It's not a guarantee though that he's got more time in him. I just think within the context of our year and list situation it would be unwise to use such a high pick on such an old player. If we had made finals this year it would be another story.
  4. Apparently Hawks wanting a pick before 25. Seems pricey for a bloke who turns 31 this year, as much as I like him. Not sure if it will be related to it, but Hawthorn are going to ask for special permission to trade their first round pick this year too. (according to Gerard Whateley).
  5. Only sketchy rumours, but some have suggested it would be announced Brownlow night.
  6. Not sure at all, just thought I read it somewhere once. Given his current role it's probably more likely he's in Melbourne. Yeah would definitely have to be more to it IF it was ever to happen.
  7. Aren't his folks in WA now?
  8. Usual cycle happening here... Dees are terrible. Dees fans complain they're terrible. Journo says Dees are terrible. Dees fans turn on journo.
  9. Only guessing, but there's plenty of rumours around about big name players requesting trades. So that, potentially combined with the terrible financial forecast for this year could have painted a pretty bleak picture.

  11. Also, from this very thread you're 'contributing' lots to... Have a good night.
  12. He's not. Here, I'll lead you by the hand a bit more... "while Levi Casboult satisfied a trigger in his contract that will earn him a deal for 2020." Article from August 25 Note the "Out of contract" players listed: Matthew Cottrell, Josh Deluca, Jarrod Garlett, Mick Gibbons, Hugh Goddard, Patrick Kerr, Kym LeBois, Matthew Lobbe, Andrew Phillips, Angus Schumacher, Kade Simpson You're welcome.
  13. Good chat.
  14. Casboult is the 2nd forward option, sometimes even 3rd. He's also played in defence and in the ruck. For a comparison within your limited context, here's some of the second key forwards with similar outputs from top 8 teams: Geelong - Ratugolea: 12 goals in 17 games. Brisbane - McStay: 19 goals in 22 games. Richmond - Riewoldt: 16 goals in 10 games. Collingwood - Cox: 19 goals in 14 games. Bulldogs - Schache: 23 goals in 13 games. Bombers - McKernan: 17 goals in 15 games. That's a combined average of 1.1 goals per game for those teams. So I would say 6 teams out of the top 8 have similar output from their second key forward.
  15. I'm getting it from the most recent source, which incidentally is in the OP. It's also been explained a couple of times in posts in this thread. Worth a read mate.
  16. He's not.
  17. Goodwin said at the time we recruited him that we may play him forward, and it was part of the discussions Goody and May had prior to the trade request.
  18. Good on you mate. One of the hardest things to do these days is try and put your ego aside on the internet, nicely done.
  19. Was in the first 45 minutes of the show and was a few passing references to MFC chasing him apparently.
  20. Was passing on what I was told, will try and find out more context for you or maybe a rough time. Stand by...
  21. Mentioned it last night on his show on SEN. Haven't seen it anywhere on facebook.
  22. Not sure when the actual contracts end, but there's a stipulation that assistants need to be told whether they're being renewed etc in early August. Would think the Hawks would want to keep him, and they were still in the finals hunt then, so they all might have kept their powder dry a bit.
  23. Jones and Gawn.
  24. I think it was at the end of last season, but not 100% sure. He's been there for 6-7 years and worked his way up. It's not all locked in yet, but we're pushing apparently.
  25. Read the thread title? Mate, you wrote a whole big post just to take cheap shots at the guy. Don't know why people do that so much here, it's embarrassing.
