Tom Papley
Trade pick 3 for GWS 12 and 18, then use pick 12 for Papley, 18 in the draft. (Should we be able to convince him to come to us)

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
“I love playing on the wing. Obviously you can get pigeonholed on the fat-side wing but Goody has specified being around the ball at the stoppages as well. “I’m a big body and I love being around the ball and using my frame. “That’s exactly what he spoke about when he caught up. It’s one of the reasons why I’m really keen to come to the club.” ?

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
"ADAM Tomlinson will play for Melbourne for the next four years after signing with the Demons as an unrestricted free agent on Monday." Inaugural Giant joins Dees as free agent

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Yeah I like that lower on the ladder idea, makes a lot of sense. At the moment some of the lower clubs are being shifted down the draft order due to free agent compo.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
I can understand why the don't make it available though as it would be easily manipulated. Players would be getting VERY specific contract offers.

2020 Assistant Coach Prospects: The Next Batch
John Barker has re-committed to the Blues so can cross him off the list now.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
The Tomlinson reply is still there and it was "liked" by a few MFC players (including McKenna), so thinking it was just jest.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Not necessarily. The AFL said Richmond fell only a couple of point short of higher compensation, and included in the formula would be the success of the team and given Richmond have won 2 of the last 3 flags, that would be significant. The Giants compo points could be miles apart but within the same 'band' so might not be that close.

Reckon the compo GWS are getting should put to bed the "paying massive overs" brigade.

Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours
Would you really be surprised if Brayshaw had an injury and it was not handled well by MFC this year? Don't reckon you can slam umpires in other posts and then put so much value on an award they judge in another. So, he's a frontrunner then? "Polled third in the Brownlow" when we were playing well, but disappears when things are tough?

Lewis Johnston - the moneyball Tomlinson
First question, why do we need a "moneyball" version of a player we've already landed? Second question, wasn't he really injury prone? Would be 29 when next season starts too, so not convinced a 29 year old, injury prone, 93kg wingman is a great option for us, but admittedly I haven't followed his SANFL career.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ED LANGDON
An update from Melbourne Melbourne's general manager of footy operations Josh Mahoney has confirmed that Collingwood's Jamie Elliott won't be coming to Melbourne. He also confirmed Adam Tomlinson (GWS) and Ed Langdon (Fremantle) have nominated the Demons as their club of choice, and that Angus Brayshaw is not wanted by the Dockers. That's what Mahoney has said publicly, sure, but I've heard different so I'm not locking that in. Wait and see hey.

Backline to replace Frost. Very much into Murray as you've mentioned too.

Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
Fair enough, thanks for passing it on anyways.

Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
Did you hear a name or just those particular details?
-
Jamie Elliott
I was given pretty reliable word early on he would stay with the Pies, but obviously I'm doubting that now after seeing him tour Brisbane. People change their minds, or take a while to decide, just human nature.
-
Jamie Elliott
Gut feel is he would stay at Collingwood for less (per year), and word gets around in AFL circles so Pies wouldn't be in the dark about his other offers as they come in. Would think they would up their offer as part of the negotiation, knowing that as long as it's not massively less he will want to stay. Then at the very end they can match the final offer if they wish.

Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
Pretty much all of those were "modern time", unless you're version of "modern time" doesn't goes as far back as the last trade period. Aside from Buddy (borderline "modern time" given your trying to shut down my examples from the last few years) and maybe Lockett (definitely not "modern time"), what are all these examples of "big name key forwards" that have been traded to Sydney?

Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
Not familiar with Lynch, McGovern, Patton, Hogan, Kennedy, Boyd, Dixon or Waite?

DEBUNKED: Oliver shoulder surgery
20 weeks? Find that a bit hard to believe, unless he's had a car accident or something. They're not even training yet.

Jamie Elliott
Seem to remember there being talk Christensen could be gone from Brisbane this year.

Jamie Elliott
Was just an example, wasn't meant as accurate figures.

Jamie Elliott
Yeah that's a great point. My example was more just about when it's such a huge difference in money though. Agree with your point also though.
