Ed Langdon has been traded to Melbourne as five picks change hands. Pick 22, 79 and a future second round selection will head to the Dockers, while pick 26 and a future fourth round selection head to Melbourne along with Langdon.
-
Fair enough mate, can agree with that logic, I'm holding fire for the Langdon deal, but just disappointed we didn't squeeze out more value from him.
-
That doesn't mean we couldn't have got more value from this trade though. It's not worked out as Frost for Langdon. Points wise (I know, I know) we've given Frost away for pick 50 (based on estimated draft order for 2020).
-
Yep, fair mate. I can only hope he does, but wouldn't count on it, think he just wants his old mate at the Dees!
-
Wasn't asking for that much from what I heard. And that's cancelled out by Langdon anyway.
-
I know not everyone is into the points like me, but with rough estimates of future picks etc this works out to us giving up Frost for pick 50.

2020 Assistant Coach Prospects: The Next Batch
Lord Nev replied to Lord Nev's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yeah sorry, should have made it clearer in my post that Camporeale was the only one I would consider. Burton is absolutely hated by Adelaide fans. -
Freo wanted pick 6, a future first rounder and a third rounder for him. Can't see him being traded for pick 3, and not sure we have the 900k to lure him to us anyway.

2020 Assistant Coach Prospects: The Next Batch

Burton and Camporeale leaving the Crows. Any interest? Might be remembering wrong, but seem to recall Camporeale being highly rated at one point? -
Fair enough, and I might be influenced by a Dees supporting mate who played with him and keeps bringing him up.
-
Yep, no talk we're linked to him or he's looking to leave, just putting the idea out there, tried to make that clear in the OP, but maybe not enough for the rabid, cranky Demonland faithful who are starting to turn on each other at a rapid rate.
-
Could play as an outisde mid for us, you agree we need outside mids yeah? Quick, good decision maker, left footer, runs all day, tackles and suits us at 21 years old. I agree we really need small forwards, but it's not the only thing we need IMO.
-
Some reports that Zac Fisher was being chased heavily by the Dogs, with Carlton quickly turning them down. Could have been a hail Mary, but could also mean there's some kind of chance he's gettable. IMO would be perfect for us. Is it worth us having a big crack at him? He's contracted for another 2 seasons so would have to be enticed.
-
Thanks mate, wasn't sure how that worked when someone has already been delisted.
-
Mate, didn't know a lot about Bobby Hill when you posted about this so went and did some research, he looks sensational! Seems to have gone under the radar so far maybe? Good pickup.
-
This thread wasn't started as a "Brayshaw to Fremantle" thread mate, and not sure where I said he was being traded there in my post anyway?
-
Reports coming out that Simon Garlick wil be appointed Freo CEO. That whole thing likely wouldn't have any effect either way anyway, but can just imagine the panic if Brayshaw Snr had got the job.
-
Hasn't he already been delisted? Meaning we could pick him up now couldn't we?
-
What were the actual number picks though? A "2nd rounder" could potentially be anything from pick 19 to pick 40 depending on what else happens. Pretty different scenarios. Sure, would be great to make a surplus, but if people honestly think we're going to get two top 10 picks for pick 3 they're dreaming.
-
A few of the player ratings are a bit off IMO, but apart from that he's spot on and tbh I hope we cop more media flack this offseason.
-
Well, the clubs use the points when working out deals, Mahoney famously was one of the first to really work that system, so makes sense to me to use it to value trade scenarios that people throw up, especially obviously unfair ones.

Haha don't know mate, drop the club an email.

I believe Lamb's role is "contract manager" which could be the same as list manager just re-badged, but it also could be that he's not heading up the whole list management team and it's been reshuffled a bit. From what I remember reading, Goodwin and Mahoney were keen to give more responsibility to Lamb as they rated him highly, so would make sense with Viney gone that they've done just that. Would assume he's been skilled in at least contracts given the title they've given him.
