  1. Hannan was great the couple of games before, crunching tackles, kicking goals, was looking a ripper, but his last 2 weeks have been quiet and he's provided little pressure. In saying that though, Melksham is not helping in that area either, he's looking a selfish player this year. Barely tackles, doesn't go when it's his turn, doesn't chase, seen him give up on a ton of contests, plus he just looks straight for goal whenever he gets it. Probably fair enough Hannan gets dropped, but Melksham and Brayshaw have been just as bad or worse for longer. The inconsistency is staggering. This is an outward example of the rumours of cliques and favourites we hear IMO.
  2. Would have 100% been with you before the season started, but just get the feeling something has shifted in him this year, I reckon he's improving as a player this year and at the end of his career will be a far better player than Brayshaw.
  3. Yep. And imagine if someone like ANB, Spargo, Hunt etc had put in 2 games like Harmes last 2...
  4. 100% agree. At least we've brought in some foot skills tho........ ?
  5. Goody won't even drop Gus, hard to see him trading him unfortunately. (Unless it's all a ploy to keep his value up......) Anyways, Gus and probs a 3rd rounder for Saad if we're making wishes.
  6. I more meant Harmes and Gus.
  7. Crows have a fairly tall forward line this week don't they? Seems a strange call at this stage.
  8. Amazing how many credits certain players are given more than others.
  9. Where'd you see that mate?
  10. vandenBerg officially in.
  11. Absolutely we do. I just think we could do that without Gawn tbh.
  12. He loves the club, and being captain at a time when it is under fire makes it no surprise really he's declared himself fit to play. Doesn't mean he is though. It's understandable from Max's point of view, but you're right OD, in the context of who we play as well as our current clearance/midfield connection issues I hope he's not risking himself.
  13. It came from one of Max's best mates, the info was solid. Clearly he is injured given he didn't train and went for scans, but he has decided he is right to play despite the medical advice. Should he play then we just have to hope it doesn't make it worse for the games where we actually really need him. Good troll though.
  14. Cleary actually broke an AFL Media protocol of not reporting the names of family members who break protocol. Perhaps a bit less speedy with the insults and outrage until all the facts come out. Even then, not sure why the insults are necessary tbh.
  15. Bit much going on in the world right now to go around smashing people with personal insults on the internet isn't there? Some people did the wrong thing, all of them have owned it and are paying the penalty. It's a difficult time as it is, we don't need to be so harsh to people we don't know.
  16. Back muscle I believe.
  17. Nothing is ever officially confirmed til the club says so, but this is the old mate of a mate (albeit a mate who would 100% know) so take it as a 'solid rumour' until the club announces something. EDIT - Apologies to everyone, it's actually 2 GAMES not 2 weeks. Sorry!
  18. You won't find a Dees supporter who doesn't love him and think he's a superstar, but we're 5th for hitouts and 13th for clearances so a change up could be beneficial for the mids.
  19. Thanks mate, good news! Not 100% sold on picking Preuss if he's coming in with only 1 main session with the full team and possibly only 2 with the mids. Plus, his fitness would still be a while off wouldn't it?
  20. You 100% sure? Seems a tight deadline. Quarantine is two weeks, and it's only been 2 weeks and 5 days since MFC announced they would fly up the rest of the players.
  21. 2 games with a lat injury. Don't hate it tbh, gives us unpredictability in the middle for a change. Some people have talked about Preuss, but given he was one of the players left in Melbourne originally is he even out of quarantine yet? Edit - Apologies, 2 games, not 2 weeks.
  22. Might be wrong, but don't think he's quite ready yet. I actually don't totally hate the idea of us having to change it up in the middle. Makes us less predictable. We went on a bit of a run a few years back with Watts and Pedersen doing the rucking I seem to remember?
  23. Rumour is Max will miss the next two games with a lat injury.
  24. Where did you hear that? It's not what's on record: “They asked us to come out publicly support it and as a playing group, we said no. When you’ve got great Melbourne people sitting here saying this is going to happen, you almost get a sense of inevitability given where we were at.” ‘I’d had six or seven pots and didn’t make sense’: How two clubs avoided major AFL merger
  25. The people who run the Dee Army are fantastic people who put in an incredible amount of time, effort and money into what they do. They, and some of the more 'senior' cheer squad members, are among the most 'salt of the Earth' type supporters you could meet and from what I know would not be happy with this kind of thing. In saying that, some of the younger members have shown some appalling behaviour online and I would not be surprised at all if it was one of them who is either in charge of the twitter or posted that specific tweet. Very surprised it's still up.
