  1. FFS. We've already been over this mate. That was 'Lord Travis', not me.
  2. I like Petty, but given he's just had a year out and is already behind this preseason I'm not getting my hopes up yet. TMac who knows hey? They could play him anywhere. I'm not a fan of putting him in the backline now that we've made moves to try and make it safer though. We've made BIG improvements in our back half turnovers the last 2 years.
  3. Fair to say I'm no fan of how he (and his Dad) went about the whole situation with the Dees, but doesn't feel like the right time for a pile on, even if it's a more footy-focused one. Seem to remember something about his wife's Dad having brain cancer (not sure if remembering correctly), and no idea if this has any relation to that, but there's clearly some bigger issues happening in his life and no matter what I think of him as a footballer; some things are bigger than that and I wish him well.
  4. No. But remember we've also lost Oscar McDonald & Josh Wagner, and we've not brought in any defenders.
  5. I think you have me confused matey.
  6. That was @Lord Travis mate. But fair question.
  7. Yep, thought this one had been put to bed already but apparently not. GC wanted a big gorilla defender, he rocked up to MFC and they wanted a more lean rebounding one. Pretty hard to instantly change your whole body shape.
  8. I thought he was quite good in 2020, but we all see it differently I guess. He definitely has higher levels he should hit, but I think he's a clear leader either way.
  9. Have they already done the vote mate? (Did they even do it that way this year?) Thanks for the intel.
  10. It wasn't really a "comparison". He simply said he's seen Kozzy do some things up the field that he hasn't seen since Cyril. He didn't say they play the exact same way. He didn't say Kozzy will be as good as Cyril. He didn't say they do all the same things. Pretty silly to say it's a "woeful comparison" given a) It wasn't a comparison, and b) The bloke giving his opinion has 4 flags and has spent a fair bit of time watching both players in training.
  11. What I would like it to be: C: May, Gawn VC: Viney Rest: Trac, Lever What I think it will be (if they change it to a group again): C: Gawn, Viney VC: May, Lever Rest: Langdon, Melksham
  12. There's a difference between saying 'he'll be as good as...' and 'he has similar traits to....' I've only read the article, haven't heard the audio, but the quotes in the article make it sound like he's not saying he's as good as Cyril, just that he's doing some things that are 'Cyril-like'. Lewis: “He’s doing stuff up the field that I haven’t seen since Rioli.” https://www.sen.com.au/news/2021/01/20/young-demon-likened-to-hawks-champion/
  13. Very very sad, and sincere best wishes to Hell Bent and Cards13. Beautiful stories about how much footy can mean to family and friends and the memories we can share through it.
  14. Not my work, but adding just a little more info from this session that was posted on FB: Just to add to that report the group had a big session on Wednesday. Friday Match Sim was with the rain and was moving at a fast pace and tackling was happening. Williams takes the younger players at times during a match sim and is taking them through other drills. This does vary as they also get match sim practice as well. There are various drills they are doing which entail using the whole perimeter of the ground such as kicking to advantage and so forth. From what I saw, they are moving faster than the training I saw in 2019. Ben Brown was out there the whole time as well. All the coaches were out there including J. Lewis and Burgo was out there most of the time. I believe Jordan is around until his commitments with Fox Footy ramp up as per last year. There are always plenty of the coaches out there and they all have plenty of activity going on and planned. I have noted that Williams takes a lot of the younger guys and carries out various drills with them. That was part of his job description and he always appears enthusiastic and on his toes so to speak.
  15. Djokovic (and some others) are in quarantine in Adelaide. The ones who landed in Melbourne went straight to quarantine also (escorted by officials in full PPE). It sucks, sure, but it's not as outrageous as twitter will tell you.
  16. So good. Thanks mate! Encouraging they're working on some forward line techniques.
  17. Awesome stuff! Been a training report sized hole in January til now. Is it ok to ask a few questions to get your thoughts from today? - Was anyone instructing Fritsch with his goal kicking or was he by himself? - Similar with the skills, was anyone instructing them? - Was there any match sim (non-contact of course), or more just drills? Know it was just a short time you were there, but trust your insights.
  18. Seems pretty decent news. Gus & Petty seem the only ones a bit behind (as expected). Plus, a good sign they'll get into some actual footy work pretty early.
  19. It was more the State Government's involvement I found exciting. That surely has positive implications for us? Apologies, must have missed it previously. As mentioned, this isn't an area I know much about and sounds like I've missed some info previously, but a feasibility study with the State Government came across as progress to me when I read it. More so because to me it implies the possibility of funding and also (to be blunt) a more honest opinion on what we can achieve and where we should be looking.
  20. More sniping. Really mature. Nowhere did I turn it into a "sympathy vote". Nowhere did I defend Patton or his actions. You have imagined these things for yourself and decided to prescribe them to me. "Pragmatism"? You're kidding right? I made a post describing the factual elements of the whole story, you decided it means something it didn't and started attacking with childish insults. Grow up.
  21. I'm not an expert on these kind of things, but this bit seems like sensational news. Progress finally!
  22. That was the entire point of my post. Ironic that you would miss that whilst tripping over yourself to have a crack at me. Perhaps stick to the dirty jokes.
  23. No I haven't. I've pointed out there's serious issues here and the Demonland commentary has revolved around smutty jokes and now apparently pathetic name calling. Grow up.
  24. It's not a footy match.
