Numerous women have been allegedly sexually harassed. Patton has checked into hospital for mental health treatment. And this thread seems to be about who is the 'smuttiest'.

Wouldn't call Sparrow "slow". I think possibly you and others are getting a little sucked into the cliche of 'slow inside mids' and 'quick skillful outside players' when players aren't always as cut and dry as that. Sparrow has a more than handy burst of speed on him. If you look at how he's managed to break into a midfield most thought was already packed, I don't think it's that surprising he's 'reasonably highly' rated for the stage of his career he's at. I might have missed it, but I haven't seen a lot of people saying Pickett is "about to explode"? I think a few are expecting a pretty decent jump in his output, I'm one of them I suppose, but the whole notion of 'exploding' or having a 'breakout year' is probably the most overdone thing in football. He's got some improvement to do, no doubt, but he lead us for tackles inside 50 and had decent rankings for goal assists, score involvements and goals, so probably a bit early to be basically calling him a bust after 1 season, especially a season FAR from normal preparation and training wise. And personally I don't think Bowey or Laurie are that similar to Kozzy. I would class Kozzy as a crumbing pressure forward with x-factor, whereas I would have both Bowey and Laurie more as higher small forwards, more likely to be looking at the spots of players like Spargo and ANB. Even so, we have been THAT short on creative small forwards that I don't really think drafting those two is a bad sign for Kozzy at all. For mine, I would be placing more effort into queries on players like Brayshaw, vandenBerg, Smith, Melksham, TMac, Tomlinson, ANB, and a few more than I would on young blokes just starting in their careers.

Off-season outlook: Pressure will be on Melbourne and Simon Goodwin
Lord Nev replied to M_9's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yep, wouldn't think Bartlett would make the public comments he did (which heaped the pressure on Goodwin) only to head in to a backroom and tell Goody to ignore it; everything's fine. -
Off-season outlook: Pressure will be on Melbourne and Simon Goodwin
Lord Nev replied to M_9's topic in Melbourne Demons
On Tuesday the Demons coach accepted the comments placed more pressure on him, and said he would listen to what was said. “I’ve spoken to Glen at length and he’s had nothing but support for myself,” Goodwin said. “I was employed to lead this footy club with a clear strategy to lead us to our next premiership and I’m still very confident we will be able to do that. “If those comments put pressure on me then I’ve got to accept that and I take responsibility for our performance. Demons coach Simon Goodwin admits he’s under pressure but privately has been given ‘nothing but support’ Rubbish to suggest pressure only comes from the media. -
Jonathan Brown to take Sam Weideman under his wing
Lord Nev replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Haven't gone through all the clubs tbh, but there's Barker, Roughie, Tudor, Hale, Stevie J, and of course Longmire and Dew off the top of my head. Plenty more if you want to list off players who spent more time forward than anywhere else but weren't 'pure forwards' as such. Seems a strange argument to be making tho tbh. -

Fair enough mate. You too! -

Happy to discuss the point without the need for insults Bob. Stating you're happy with Brad Green on the board but not Brown shows perhaps we have very different interpretations of what is handy knowledge and experience in such a position. I'm glad Green is there as it means we have an actual football person sitting, but I'd take Brown's premierships, leadership and accolades above Green's any day of the week. The other part of your post shows you may have not understood mine. If you've paid attention to the offseason moves at various clubs you may have noticed that given the reduction to football departments clubs are already being quite innovative in how they structure for 2021 and beyond. Versatility and multi-faceted roles are going to be the order of the day. This could very well mean having people assist the football department at times even though their role isn't officially in that area. -

So you're happy with Brad Green on the board, presumably because he's ex-Melbourne, but you find it a 'bizarre suggestion' that MFC would look to recruit a 3x Premiership, 2x All-Australian, 2x Best Captain, 3x Most Courageous, Victorian Captain and Hall Of Famer for a spot? I'm not sure many understand how AFL clubs are approaching football departments for 2021 yet. There will be plenty of innovation going on in getting people involved, this is one way it can potentially happen. -

Club has actively been trying to get Brown involved in some way for a few months, at one stage the rumour was a board position was on offer. Fingers crossed this is a hint/step towards more official involvement from him. -
I thought it was just a lunch box cooler, but maybe your kids are tougher than mine! ;)

The 2021 kids pack (arrived today) is absolutely fantastic. Great selection of things in there for them including personalised stickers, which was a great touch. Well done to whomever co-ordinates that part of it all.

Not technically 'out of the system', but Fagan spent nearly 10 years in more footy admin roles before being named coach of the Lions didn't he?
-
Publicly maybe, but the AFL is a tiny industry where everyone knows each other, it's usually pretty common knowledge which players clubs are keen on leading up to the draft. Calling for people to be fired or sued is a bit silly.
-
What is your evidence anything was leaked? Pretty common knowledge how players are rated and which ones specific clubs are interested in.
-
Not sure where you heard that mate, most things I've heard or read have been the complete opposite. Looks ok to me... https://www.afl.com.au/video/494485/classy-laurie-has-plenty-of-tricks?videoId=494485&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1598277600001

Bailey Laurie apparently getting ready to be presented with a Dees jumper.
-
His uncle is a HUGE Dees fan, had big hopes he'd end up with us. Not sure if that means the rest of the fam are tho.
-
It's happening! Mark Williams joins Melbourne as head of development
-
Mahoney would be Dodo's boss, so you'd think his will would win.
-
Colour me shocked...
-
Spargo would be more highly rated by Dees fans if he didn't look like the kid who always got picked on in school. Should have kept Oscar McDonald. Gawny is a great footballer, even better bloke, should not be captain.

Put this in the wrong section. @Demonland would you mind moving please?

AFL great Neale Daniher, who has helped raise tens of millions of dollars to fight motor neurone disease while battling it himself, will be honoured at the MCG. The former Essendon player and Melbourne coach will have a walkway in the MCG precinct named after him, reports Seven’s Tom Browne. The move was said to be driven by Victorian premier Daniel Andrews, assisted by the MCG.
