POSTGAME: Match SIM vs Richmond
I think the Blues are the most likely (at this stage) to snare the premiership in '24. They go toe-to-toe with us midfield wise, but have the best 1-2 KF combo in the AFL by a long way. They are still vulnerable defensively, which is their main weakness - if Vossy has managed to fine tune that over pre-season, then watch out. Expecting them to give us a bit of a reality check next week.

POSTGAME: Match SIM vs Richmond
My main observation is that we don’t have the skill to be a fast ball movement team. Boundary and pack based play with f50 territory will be 1 wood. Windsor, Brown look good but will take 1-2 years to really acclimate, but I think they’ll add to our team. Rivers, Laurie, Billings, Tomo, May,ANB, Fritta, Langdon were disappointing today. I think Goodwin will be sweating after first 5 rounds.

2024 AFL RIsing Star Candidates
Its already been given to Nick Daicos, even though he is ineligible. Sorry to hijack the thread, but it had to be said. I feel better now :)

AFL’s Upper Echelon
I kind of feel that he will be somewhat found out this year. You just get the feeling that a bone crunching (legal) tackle, will rattle him.

AFL’s Upper Echelon
Daicos best player in the game? Seriously how is this nonsense allowed to continue. Yes he is good - but what am I not seeing here. I’d take Bont over Daicos every single time. Heck I’d even take, Greene, Dawson before Daicos.

Petracca: "When the pressure mounted... we crumbled"
Well one thing you can bank on, is that pressure in the next finals campaign will be off the charts with two straight exits in consecutive years hanging over the heads of the club. Great to acknowledge it as that is the first step to addressing it.

Neale Daniher meets up with former Demons
Give him the benefit of doubt here, but I do think he has some beef with the club or some of the staff. He has come out in the media in recent times to criticise the club rather than support them.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 12th February 2024
That's a pretty solid report mate. Appreciate you taking advantage of the circumstances for the mutual benefit of DL. Ive noted a lot of run and carry off half back. Was this noticeable in any of your drill and the match sim. What was your impression on the overall speed of transition?

Forward Line & Backup Ruck Issues Going into 2024 and beyond ...
Wasn't the player to chase for mine. Id continue to invest in Petty, Jefferson and JVR and use our cap to chase a replacement for May and Gawn.

2024 Preseason Training Thread
Playing a VFL level squad isn’t much of an indication of true performance.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Friday 2nd February, 2024
Just by the clips our ball movement seems to have a bit more run and carry, with a bit more precision in ball movement.
