Am I alone in the hype on Grundy for tonight? I think the best is past him by a long way… he only had a few good games during Max’s injury and was hit and miss with the Pies in his last 1-2 years. I love a good redemption story and he has donned our colours means a level of respect, but I can’t see how you have him and Max on equal terms. It’s just disrespectful to Max IMHO.

This is day and night from last week. I was really worried frim what was on display there with no cohesion and accountability whatsoever. Having Salo in the middle with Billing’s at HF and Bowey/Riv at HB has changed our dynamic somewhat.

I like Salo in the middle. Adds a bit of class. Let’s hope he stays fit. Better footy compared to last week.

You know what grinds my gears. HOw much the media was going to town on Oliver when he was in the pits, going through god knows what. Now that he has gotten through his 2nd game and is hopefully on the way back to the best version of himself, not a peep. No good story. Perhaps it is a little premature, but what about a little positive reinforcement from the industry to let him know that we are all happy to see him on the mend.

I am trying to read between the lines here. Im sure he has had an honest assessment of his injury by all the medicos and the club. We have no idea what that would be so can only go by his own assessment that he is feeling great and going to have another crack. Why would he be misleading the supporters? If his career was in doubt, would we expect him to tell us so? Does he think that by not trying or being available jeopardises his final year? Its such a confusing situation - i don't know what to believe.

Oliver @ 43 is an outright joke. If its based on 2023 performance only, fair enough but then how do you have Sicily @ 11 who missed almost as much footy as Oliver through injury. Just doesnt add up. #muppet.
