  1. Dew not happy with the umps. Fair enough I’d say as well shocking non decisions.
  2. Moore done for the season I reckon. There goes Collingwood's chances. David Noble has to get sacked this week. Feel for the guy but Norf are truly a miserable proposition.
  3. If Kozzy gets a week then so does Fogarty. At least Kozys was closer to a footy action. Watch Gerard Whately go to town on whether it should be a suspension.
  4. I thought he did ok in the ruck but was poor in the marking contest - which is his usual performance. He has really good leap on him and has a similar ruck game as LJ, follow up work is also decent. Potentially can be developed further. I did see bit of frustration from him tonight so it’s fair to say it’s not for a lack of trying. I think he can sense his AFL career is on the line and is slipping away ever so slightly. I hope he can build some form in the next few weeks as I’m not sure LJ comes in next week with Gawn.
  5. 6 Petracca 5 Oliver 4 Langdon 3 Viney 2 Jordan 1 Brayshaw I reckon Oliver eill increase his lead in the AFLCA a bit more this week. 2 votes in Brownlow.
  6. Overall midfield was very solid. We did very well given we weren’t with Gawn, LJ and even TMac who would be rucks 1,2 and 3. The forward talls were serviceable in the 2nd half enough to create contests but there was still poor delivery to them given number of intercepts taken by them. There were a few hit up leads when we moved the ball fast enough, but i suspect our risk taking atm is quite low so hopefully we can push the envelope here a little more. Umpiring was terrible both ways in the last quarter but we got the short end of the stick the entire game. It was quite a poor standard I think the Dees should make a polite enquiry on #20 Time to recover for next weeks game against the Pussycats
  7. I’ve seen about a half a dozen throws and dropped balls so far . None called.
  8. This is pathetic
  9. 2 goals to the umps already. Geeez
  10. Umpires on today.
  11. Great game for the Dons, hopefully they play like this against other in the run home and make it difficult for others in the top 8. Thye don’t have pressure to make finals but have a point to prove in their game plan and keeping their coach so wouldn’t expect them to drop off.
  12. 100%. Every team has at least 1 gun midfielder and anyone of them can win the brownlow depending on how their team plays throughout the year. How many gun ruckman do you really ever talk about. There is only a handful that are even in contention for AA every year.
  13. Really? I dont get that vibe from Montagna at all. I remember him getting onto us quite early last year as the favorite and never for a moment - even when we were dropping games - went off us. Well if what you say is true, then ill play closer attention to him. But id still take those two over most in the journalism industry.
  14. and has a tank to expose O'Brien. watch them stack up the talls in their forward line now.
  15. I think they all have made stupid, emotional calls but if you follow some of the pre-match programs, they all have to make an outrageous 'tip' on the game. When they get it right they look like oracles and conversely, like fools when they get it wrong - its all for a bit of entertainment. If you were asked for a genuine tip/insight, you'd find that most commentators would find it a difficult proposition to actually predict what is going to happen with lots of ums and ahhs and caveats, which would make for some really boring TV. There are specific commentators like Brereton, Dwayno Gerard Whately (to a lesser extent) who i just cannot stand as they let their bias continually stand in the way of their judgement and others that have no clue (BT, James Brayshaw, Robbo etc). But thats just me.
  16. He does, but i applaud him for having an opinion. Others just skirt around the edges not wanting to upset people. He is also quite balanced as is Montagna and have plenty of depth and analysis to their opinion. They will get it wrong just as many times as they get it right.
  17. I would give Hibbo 1 more year. Bedford, Hunt & Smith 2 years, Brayshaw and LJ whatever they want (within reason and cap) lets says 3 years. I'd elevate Turner and Moniz-Wakefield. Delisting to Baker, M.Brown. I would hold off on J.Melksham until year end to see if we need him again for depth. Not sure on others though haven't seen Casey play enough.
  18. The umps will get a call soon enough 😂.
  19. Frost is a good defender one-on-one but cannot play team defence and is a poor user of the ball.
  20. Very true. There is no guarantee he will gel with the team as he has with MFC - unlikely - but the culture is an unknown as all the dirty secrets and detractions will not be on show when he meets with WCE or Freo officials.
  21. He is also one head clash away from retirement. Chances of said head knock dramatically increase in the middle given the way he plays. I think he is enjoying his role at half back / wing. He is a genuine midfield utility and can play across 3-4 different positions.
  22. Hopefully this will instigate some movement on the Brayshaw and LJ front and get them signing up too.
  23. Maybe in 2-3 years time but not right now.
  24. West coasts pick will likely be pick 3 as Norf May get 1 and 2. I think if LJ isn’t staying we deal exclusively with WCE and their Pick 2/3 and also a KP player. If Freo really want him, then we use the Eagles as the bargaining chips as it satisfies Doggas supposed desire to get home. Then we ask for Brayshaw and 2022 first rounder.
  25. I wonder if the May incident has thrown a spanner in the works in recent times.
