  1. Where you getting thelive feed? I just put some popcorn in the microwave.
  2. Live photo of the appeals board deliberating.
  3. Who cares let him play. Maul him Every time he gets near it.
  4. What injury history? He got a PCL this year - which was the first time in his career i beleive and its a known ruckman injury. Max had one in 2020. Max has had 2 or 3 knee recos so is much much more injury riddled than Grundy. Grundy's most recent injury is an ankle stress fracture not a foot stress fracture. I'm not sure if there is a difference in prognosis long term but we all know that foot based stress fractures are the ones you need to worry about. Just want to set the record straight as many on here seem to think Grundy's body is a liability. I think he has held up pretty well over the years. I have to acknowledge that his form has dropped of since his mega-deal. There could be many reasons for that and i for one believe his duo with Max would be a formidable one - much more impactful than LJ and Gawn.
  5. I would love for that to happen, but in what parallel universe does he leave the Blues as they will be approaching their window soon. It will be interesting to see where De Koning settles into though given they already have McKay and Curnow up front. He has a bit more flare than his brother at the Cats and would for them to give him an opportunity in the forward 50 and let Mckay come to us.
  6. Ive never played competitive footy, but when at training with my son, i rarely miss a kicking target 30-40m away. However put me in front of the goals at a similar distance and the story is significantly different. Surround me with 60000 people and i doubt my foot would even make contact with the ball. Morale of the story, keep it simple, short run-up, kick it at 80-90% power, pick out a target in the crowd. Easier said then done i suppose.
  7. Dont want to get too cocky. Im just starting to feel a bit uneasy about this one.
  8. I thought Amon was a turnover merchant?
  9. I think itโ€™ll get thrown out in minutes on the fact that they donโ€™t meet the conditions of an appeal. No way he is getting off.
  10. I dont necessarily understnd this. Isnt a KPF also quite an intense role, especially given our game style. Cant see it extending his career tbh.
  11. On a slightly tangential point. Article on Roos today. Can you just imagine if they had JUH, Daicos and Ashcroft. All three will be/have been denied to the team that has finished last. You would think those 3 would be enough to turn any team around. If MFC were in the roos position i would be absolutely livid. I know there are many on here that love the F/S but perhaps a slight adjustment to the rule could be priority picks having exclusive access without being out bidded / matched or bids used to match a priority pick selection attract a 20% points penalty (as opposed to the current 20% discount).
  12. They sound very comfortable with Gawn down forward. He actually is a great contested mark, but his shot for goal is really unreliable - similar to Trac. You are just never comfortable with either of them ball-in-hand irrespective of how close they are to goal. If he was more accurate on Friday, we win that game. Need a speical project for these two players in the offseason, where they can really work on their technique and goal kicking accuracy. I think it also answers our questions re KPF plans - hence making Grundy quite an attractive choice in the absence of KPF on the market. My guess is Gawn will play upwards of 70% forward and provide relief in forward stoppages allowing Grundy to setup behind the ball. Whilst we have had LJ, i dont think we have been able to maximise this setup as LJ doesnt impact the contest sufficiently on the wing hence why Grundy IMO will be a huge upgrade here. The more i think about it, the more im liking this. Obviously contingent on the salary we pay for Grundy and the picks we have to handover for him.
  13. They are carrying on like a bunch of sooks. I hope it happens evermore now and that Brundy rediscovers his AA form. Top 10 pick though is a laugh. At best its our 2022 2nd rounder + 3rd.
  14. I think Chandler would bring the highest amount of pressure in the forward area, given his hunger and personality. He just needs a chance. I dont know who comes out though. ANB maybe.
  15. When this game plan is coupled with slow ball movement, which to me is also part of the problem, the issues with f50 connection are compounded. There is no space in f50 a lot of the time, because we are moving it slowly from half back and not taking on the corridor. This is also part of the broader plan in 'defending with the ball in hand'. It gives the opposition plenty of time to flood back and take up all the space, giving us no option but to kick it to the forward pocket. This is why i wanted to advocate having Salem / Bowey at HF. Gives us elite distribution by foot in the forward half. Sadly, we all know that none of this will change this year and probably next year either. So just suck it up, grind your teeth, clench your fists all you like...nothing is changing.
  16. I wonder if the chatter around Geelong is to create some โ€˜fakeโ€™ competition.
  17. I heard Loewe was one. Didnโ€™t hear who the others were. The fact that itโ€™s sitting for this long, doesnโ€™t bode very well. I think he is getting off. 10sec after I posted. Decision upheld ๐Ÿค˜ The CYB zinger at work.
  18. Grundy is a no brainer as long as we donโ€™t pay overs <700K. He is definitely an upgrade on LJ and will be for at least the next 2 years.
  19. If the shoe was on the other foot, you know we would demand nothing less than what the Pies dished up. well I know I would. He was an [censored] for saying it - and bought undue attention to himself that left him rattled and ineffective and irrelevant for large parts of the game.
  20. Youโ€™d think so given how easy the Pies and other corridor teams were able to move it out with ease with our top of square kicks.
  21. You can just start to see the narrative that he should get off developing in the media.
  22. When comparing to Richmond our form line is crap, but our draw is probably one of the hardest in recent history, so itโ€™s kind of uncharted territory. We lost to the Dogs by 10 and Pies by 7. It quite easy could have been a different story on any other day and weโ€™d be loaded with confidence and be premiership favourites ahead of Geelong. Funny game , 3 goals is all we needed.
  23. Some vision on Couch just shows how one dimensional and safe out ball movement has become forward of centre. Kicking into pockets and not to an outnumber or leading target is killing our ability to generate easy goals. Itโ€™s our system and it takes away our dare and makes us too predictable. Compare that against the Cats, Pies and Blues who take the game on and have a wide open f50. In addition to a KPF , we have to either involve Spargo more in the scoring chain or move one of our elite kicks and playmakers into the HF to provide the forward link.
  24. I left that little zinger for you! ๐Ÿ˜
  25. The concussion has sealed his fate. The Blues main argumennt will be he had eyes only for the ball, which can be easily countered by, so why did you jump and raise your elbow? To which the Blues will respond, because the Ball told him to and we always play the ball. P.S. Couldn't be bothered with all the quotation marks and apostrophe's so feel free to goto school on my elite level of grammar on display here.
