  1. We had a lot of the ball but turnovers and inaccuracy killed us today, not the opposition. That was completely self inflicted.
  2. Fair play to Goody for opening up. He has every reason never to speak to the press.
  3. It's worked once already!
  4. Well done Kangas. Only Collingwood should ever go through a season winless.
  5. Loyalty is a rare thing in today's game so you have to admire him for that. Maybe we'll see him in red & blue four years from now when both his knees are shot.
  6. In what parallel universe are GWS averaging 24k a game?
  7. I don't believe that selling our home game to the NT is costing us wins. Yesterday's game would have been played at Marvel if it wasn't at Traeger. If Richmond and Collingwood can't get 11 home games at the MCG what makes anyone think we would? Yesterday we would have lost by 92 points at Docklands in front of 10,000 people. Instead the club made $800,000 in appearance fees.
  8. I agree with other posters that the loss could be season defining. Freo can be just a flakey as us and I though we could still turn it around in the second half if we wrestled back the initiative but the boys just gave up. I turned off midway through the 3rd.
  9. Has anyone ever changed their mission statement mid-season ? #DemonSpirit
  10. I reckon supporters of both sides will be wondering which version of their own team will turn up today. Or not turn up.
  11. In sporting terms it’s like hearing that the second cousin once removed of your neighbour up the road has died. The three people that followed them must be devastated.
  12. Yup. I watched Jim play up until the early nineties but never saw Jeff White either.
  13. We're so lucky to have Max. I lived overseas for 20 years and never saw Dean Cox play. The only other ruckman I'd rate alongside him is Simon Madden who was a far better forward.
  14. If the Saints are less than six goals up by the time we wake up half way through the second I'm confident we'll run them down.
  15. Annoying when you're looking forward to watching some football on a Friday night only to find out Collingwood are playing.
  16. I work with a rusted on Swans season ticket holder and he hates going up there because nobody watches the game. They're all constantly going to the bar, talking or looking at their phones. They also like getting tarted up like they're going to the theatre. Swans games are an occasion to be seen at, not to see the Swans, apparently.
  17. May have also been the game where T-Mac hurt his foot and Lingers had his ribs broken?
  18. I think it has less to do with game style and personnel and more to do with our lack of intensity and commitment to an all team defence within games.
  19. I'm quite enjoying this banter between 1975 and 2024.
  20. Looks like the boys circled Perth in as a holiday on the calendar instead of another business trip.
  21. Hi 640MD. I remember him. He wore a torn up old red & blue cap to our games and was part of the 'grog squad' that stood behind the cheer squad with Ian Ball and 'Animal' in the 1980's. I started running the CS with some friends from around the mid 80's when we sat near the race in the Northern Stand. From memory our immediate predecessors were the Galvins and a guy called Peter Burley? It sounds like you were from the era before them maybe?
  22. Blues still over 100%. Disappointing.
  23. LOL. At this rate Carlton will finish this weekend 10th with a % under 100.
