  1. St Kilda has told clubs it is open to splitting one of its top-10 selections in this year’s draft as part of a strategy to capitalise on the depth in this year’s talent pool. The Saints have picks seven and eight in this year’s draft and have indicated they could be interested in trading one of them for two picks later in the first round. The two clubs best-placed to do a deal with the Saints are Richmond (which has 18, 20 and 23) and GWS Giants (15, 16 and 21). This article contains features which are only available in the web versionTake me there It means the Saints could take a top-line midfielder at pick seven and then snare two players in the back-end of the first-round with its Josh Battle compensation selection. It would be a bold call from the Saints but recruiters are excited about the level of talent on offer through the back end of the first-round. The move would effectively see the Saints take three players potentially inside the top-20 of a draft scouts are calling the strongest in several years.
  2. Travalgia and Xavier Lindsay are defenders
  3. A real bomb it long sort of operator

Probably irrelevant anyway, reckon Tigers get pick 2 one way or another

Langford sure could. Saints may elect to grab Armstrong and Smillie.

Norf forced to grab a tall at 2 would be such a good result

I'd be surprised if we didn't take at least one 'proper' midfielder. With that being said, I have a lot of faith in Rivers being a big part of our 2025 midfield group and beyond. I thought what he showed in the middle in the last 6-8 or so weeks of the season, when our team as a whole was pretty much cooked, was very encouraging.
  9. He's the style of player we seem to like, plus with Rivers moving into the midfield it may make sense.

I guess what teams will weigh up with Langford is if he's a liability in centre bounces, you're pretty much paying up for an expensive medium sized forward

    Speeds king I guess

Bigfooty draft watcher PMBangers has released an updated power rankings (note: NOT a phantom draft but I couldn't find the POWER rankings thread)
  13. Give him my regards
  14. Not sure he's any good in the footballing aspects of being a footballer but the explosiveness is quite titillating bo-allan_lVnEhZEj.mp4
  15. Has the athletic profile and physicality, can someone more familiar with him advise if he has the skills and brain?
  16. One of the more intriguing players on the list, has the athleticism and talent, but never looked totally settled at the level, at least to the point where he did much with ball in hand A big watch for 2025
  17. Have you missed the Windsor era?

You don't take key defenders with top 10 picks
  19. It'd be a bit of a laugh if we took him with what was originally essendons pick 9

Langford looks a ripper but I can understand his lack of speed putting some teams off him

Lucky for Essendon I'm hearing there are a lot of great options available at pick 18 of the 2025 draft
  22. Looks like he's happy to crash packs, good speed too. I think he's looks decent, whether he's worth bypassing the more highly rated mids at pick 5 is another question.

If Norf swapped with Richmond, and we do love Armstrong, wanting to get in before the Saints have the chance to pick him, there's a world where both Smillie & Langford are available for the Saints. Question is would they double up on big bodied mids? Worst case scenario if we went early on Armstrong is we miss all of the more highly touted midfield options, even Smillie. 1. Rich - Lalor 2. Rich (via North) - FOS 3. Carl (via WCE) - Jagger 4. Adel - Draper 5. Melb - Armstrong 6. North (via Rich) - Tauru 7. StK - Langford, Smillie, Travalgia? Allen? Reid? Lindsay? 8. StK - Langford, Smillie, Travalgia? Allen? Reid? Lindsay? 9. Melb - Langford, Smillie, Travalgia? Allen? Reid? Lindsay?

Much intrigue remains over whether Richmond and North Melbourne will do a deal which could land the Tigers the first two picks in this year’s national draft. It is believed that the Kangaroos are open to trading pick two and a future first-round selection to Richmond, in exchange for picks six and 11 in this year’s draft. Such a deal would still leave the Tigers with seven early selections this year — at picks 1, 2, 10, 19, 20, 23 and 24 — along with two first-round picks next year.
