I would replace Bowie with Bowey and Jordan with Jordon. Salem can replace Brayshaw and Tomlinson can be a workman like replacement for Petty

Jones hit Oliver in the chest and so it wasnt high, but of medium impact and i will say that the force of the blow surprised Oliver. The dump on Langdon was dangerous though in Jones defence it happened in a split second. Funny enough though most players seem able to avoid doing that. The response of the umpire and Langdons team mates was professionally appropriate. Being the younger brother of club legend N Jones, it was a very poor act that dishonoured the family name.

Nervous as all hell. (I hated mothers day; something always came 'unstuck' and then it was on....)

In fairness to, or explanation of, Mark Neeld I was under the impression that he was given the brief to turn the place upside down. Unfortunately he did more than that, he levelled it. A dramatic failure of the club at almost every level.

How does it compare with : 'Chris Johnson is going to be a gun' (I dont know who posted it but it has stuck in my head)

The club was broke. A very significant factor in JNs appointment was that he was the cheapest.

I believe Jonesy did play for him.

I'm struggling here. Bring the heat in the old days was bring a linament to apply on certain muscles. Are you proposing something under hand? Embrace - is this legal under covid guidelines? Employ the air - I had to ring T White as my vax certificate had not been updated. They had forgotten to push it into the air. As this the air you mean. Control scoring - Im not touching this though i was very good at nil all.

Some go to strange places to have a crack at the Weid. Its all his fault that TMc, completely unaware of 2 very large posts, markings on the ground, goal umpire chappie who stands between the big posts decides to mark what should have been let through as a goal. And how do you know that the Weid wasnt yelling at him? Still it does make good theatre. Remember M Blight walking straight up to the point line and kicking it through, Percy Jones kicking the post instead of the ball or a young P McKenna, marking the ball on the goal line, (I think he kicked 12). D Tuddenham was not happy.

Narrm has made it into the Cairns Post with a photo of S May. (On the back page is a pic of local boy Charlie Dixon) -
When was the last time you watched Melbourne lose?
Fritta and Turner replied to Big Col's topic in Melbourne Demons
Rnd 15, 2020 - Cairns disaster -
TMc smiled when he took that mark in the square. Done well for a late 3rd? round pick. Deserves 200 games.

Records we can be proud of
Fritta and Turner replied to La Dee-vina Comedia's topic in Melbourne Demons
Here is a record I am not proud of - havent been to a game since the Cairns disaster. Easily the longest break from watching MFC in my life. -
Weather is ordinary in Cairns today - windy, overcast with light showers. The wind will favour one end.

Ah ambiguity.... Since we previously won a GF in 1964 we are missing 6 defenders or the only defender left from the Doggies 2016 win was Easton Wood, who got absolutely flogged... Not sure what this has to do with anything, up there with my neice having covid multiple times, in Paris.....

When was the last time we had 5 changes?

That brings back memories. The family would gather there in the 70's for a counter lunch before the game.
