  1. Obviously not an ideal day for training with the heat and strong wind but..... The boys were out early at 9.30. The shed was packed with iced ddrinks. The full squad participated in the drills for about the first 45 minutes with the exception of McAdam (absent feeling a bit crook) and Woey (on the bike and then watched on). George in nos 23. All the drills this year emphasied fast ball movement, winningb the contest in the middle and then passing to the fwd. Considering the conditions this drill went well. It was great to see Spargs (not Charles ok) participating. After about 45 minutes Spargo, Lever , Sestan, Lindsay (Xave), Turner and Fullarton pulled out. Sestan had something checked out then joined back in, Spargo, Lever and Lindsay on a modified program, Turner had a foot issue and not sure about Fullarton. AJ looked like he had face planted in a bucket of sunscreen Viney asked them to keep the noise up and Spargs replied with 'fffff yeah. Tracca no legionaires hat Roo tackles well. I would give me left leg to be able to kick like Fritta. Had a quick word with TMc who said his brother Oscar was doing well. Left about 11.15 with drills still going and Langford, Mentha and AJ running the boundary. The boys look fit and the vibe is good, About 20-30 track watchers in attendance.
  2. Why? they arnt paying the money to the Council or the trust, they are paying it to the MRC
  3. Somewhere in all the documentation I have read I think it stated that the MRC were paying $100k pa for use of the cCrown Land....which would probably be just enough to pay the 'stipends' of the trust members.
  4. My son played for the Caulfield bears at Koornang Park when he was a kid. So the Juniors moved on at least 25? years ago. Furthermore the council could be persuaded to 'move on' any club if they considered it would be better use of the facilities.
  5. Sharp has fitted in well and runs like the wind. Getting lots of encouragement from team mates which is a good sign, Howes (and Sestan) had a little niggle 2 weeks back and spent a week in rehab. Back in training but seems to lack any type of X factor, doesn't standout - I recommend lemon rinse....
  6. Dunno about change in game plan etc but Jonesy sure looks like he is enjoying himself.
  7. He doesnt look camp by any means but he looks a happy camper....(apologies in advance)
  8. Once again a very pleasant day watching the training with a full squad in attendance. It took me ages to find Jed Adams until the boys started yelling Jed Jed Jed (dead give away) and i realised he was in a No number Jumper. No Kalani White but Toby Sinnema was there. Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay and Fritter in rehab ie not taking part in all the drills. They did a separate drill and then on the bikes and running the boundary. Don't know whats wrong with Fritta but it aint running. Lever dragged the bike to the boundary line and yelled encouragement, and you better be encouraged ok!!!! AMW did a great block on the Kolt and a fantastic tackle on Viney. Maysie gives instructions to the backs with a flick of a hand and guess what, seems to position well and find space. Langford has a first and 2nd effort and seems to instinctively know where the ball is in a contest. He also looks like Turner but with curls. AJ ready to go and is strong at it. Kynan shows plenty of run and dash. Hore wacked his knee cap on the ground, a minor cut, and had some strapping as a precaution. Tracca had the cap with a 'sun shade' on the back. (Reminds me of the cartoons I watched years ago). Moving well. Sharpie looked er sharp and got lots of vocal support from his team mates. Campbell looks like he is enjoying it. Max and Clarrie were gassed at time. Clarrie did not participate in the match sim at the end. I think Kynan pulled out early. Not many track watchers as last time but the number grew to 60+.
  9. Or drinking out of the Entwash?
  10. That other trainee is Toby Sinnema in the 1st and 4th photos....
  11. Get Kalani White now!!! Really looks the goods but needs some upper body work obviously. With the full squad at training it was hard to spot standouts or for that matter concentrate on any particular player. Turner, Langford and Lindsay yet to get numbers on their backs. Spargo on the bike, Lindsay, McAdam and Fritter running the boundary. Chin is obviously well respected by the club and said a few words to the group. TMcs family always seem to be in attendnace at training. About 60+ onlookers at any one time with the highlight being the HUN camerman who asked which one was CP5. Really?
  12. Thx; I checked an hour ago but it hadnt been updated..
  13. When are the players back training in Melbourne?
  14. Got a weird email from the club last night saying As an MCC member why not also join the MFC....I think...20 years too late for that; and my membership pack arrived 10 days ago....
  15. My phone hasnt rung....
  16. Yes. My comments were only in the context of TAF which is Caulfield.
  17. According to the MFC Financial Statements the club currently has $9.6 mill in financial assets allocated to the Training and Admin Facility (TAF). The club is confident that this can be raised to $15 mill. The capital in the Future Fund will not be used for this purpose but some of the income generated by the FF maybe, until the $15 mill target is reached. The cost of the feasibility study of $300,000 was totally funded by the state government.
  18. The cat sat on my head at 3.00am so to get back to sleep I read the mfc financial report. I think somewhere in there is a note that stated that the full Brayshaw payment was included in this statement as per Australian Accounting Standards. (sounds a tad Monty Python).
  19. as in (francis) Xavier Lindsay? Is that a nick name?
  20. More likely I got the day wrong - Monday... Put it down to post draft hysteria
