This might be sacrilege, but i think our theme song needs updating, musically - the lyrics are sacrosanct. No songs that we use to lead the players onto the field seems to segway into Grand Old Flag. They just don't seem to mix. So i thought what if we musically changed its a grand old flag so that it could do both. So intro and verse to get the crowd singing along; instrumental section for the players to run out to and then a repeat of the verse to get everyone involved again. I've had a bit of a go, below. Does anyone else feel it's a bit odd / unusual that a board member (albeit our next President) writes a letter on behalf of the Board and sends it to all members? Take out the praising of Green, and it's a letter the current President should have written. It might just be me, but it seems odd. Also agree that we should be identifying the skill set we need and then advertising for the best candidate. Almost looks like we have selected our man and then cherry picked his CV to announce the skill set we were looking for.

Clint, there may be many reasons why supporters don't renew memberships - the cost, and having other monetary priorities being one. You simply should not be labelling, as a whole, our non-renewing members as "weak as [censored]".

Easy Dee, I'm not trying to pull him apart. Just because, IMO, he isn't a great on field leader, doesn't detract from him being a football great, as I've stated. I have no knowledge of off-field issues, so haven't gone there at all. And during those 3 years you refer to, when we, at that time, had the best 3 midfielders in the AFL in your team, you'd expect to dominate the midfield tussles.
