PODCAST: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
What did the panel think of Kozzie's bump and the resulting 3 match suspension by the MRO? Do you think we will appeal? I know Kozzie has priors with these types of indiscretions but I think in this instance he has a case that he can at least plead in that Moore went to ground and had he kept his feet then perhaps it would have been a fair bump. Kozzie could not have reasonably forseen that Moore would drop like a lollipop. What do you guys think and thanks for the another great season of podcasting?

My primary concern, even though we haven’t heard any outright denials from Petracca's camp, revolves around the possibility that our club might fail to address the significant issues Trac has with the team's current trajectory on the field. It's clear that the clubs he's rumored to be interested in—Melbourne-based, in the Premiership window, and capable of drawing big crowds to the MCG—simply don’t have the draft assets needed to facilitate a trade. This raises a serious worry: could Trac become so disillusioned with the club’s direction and the way his injury has been managed that he considers stepping away from the game entirely? The thought of losing such a key player, not just to another club but to early retirement, is deeply unsettling. It’s crucial that the club takes his concerns seriously and ensures he feels valued and confident in the team's future. Otherwise, we might face a situation where one of our most important players decides that his best option is to walk away from the game altogether, which would be a huge blow not just to our on-field performance, but to the morale of the club and its supporters. Not to mention the impact from a mental health perspective all of this has on Trac himself.

Port Adelaide Chasing Kozzy Again
I agree. He has just had a child and I heard that his partner is from interstate so it's not out of the realm of possibility that they would want to move back home at some stage. Unfortunately that is the risk you are always going to face when drafting interstate players but you can't just build a team of all local players.

Are the media just perusing a list of our centre bounce attendees to come up with stories.

If there’s really nothing going on, then why hasn’t Trac come out and simply said, "I'm not going anywhere"? The fanbase is in meltdown over a generational player who’s unhappy—just like the rest of us—with the club’s direction and how his injury has been handled. He has every right to be upset, and if he weren’t locked into a five-year contract, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’d already left. The club put out a vague statement, essentially saying Trac is under contract, which politely suggests they intend to hold him to it. But what happens if he demands to go? If push comes to shove, I think we’d be forced to give in to his wishes. Our captain, normally the most confident bloke I've seen, gave the most uncertain reassurance I've seen that Trac isn’t going anywhere. Yes, the media and Morris thrive on clickbait, twisting stories to sell papers and generate clicks. But there’s clearly smoke here, and probably at least a brush fire. Can this be resolved? Possibly. Will he leave this year? Who knows? I get that Trac is unhappy—again, we all are—but if, as you say, there’s nothing to see here, why hasn’t he used his massive online platforms to make a statement? Maybe his silence is his statement. It could mean, "I’m not leaving, but I’m not happy, and until some changes are made, I’m staying silent." It’s all conjecture at this point. The real issue is that the fanbase is in meltdown. This isn’t just happening on Demonland; it’s all over Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WhatsApp groups, and at the dinner table. We, as supporters, are key stakeholders. We pay our hard-earned money each year to keep the club’s coffers full. If you thought the stands were empty lately, imagine how they’ll look if we lose multiple A-grade players. Things could get ugly fast, and all the membership gains we’ve made over the last four years could be wiped out for another generation. We’re talking about a once-in-a-generation player here, and we could lose him because this club can’t get its act together. You might want to brush all these troubles under the carpet—issues that were evident in the preseason and have never gone away—but when stories like this come out, even from master click baiters like Morris, and the star player in question doesn’t immediately dismiss them and reaffirm his commitment to the club, it’s clear there’s a serious problem. As of writing this, Trac still hasn’t done so, despite having plenty of opportunities. Therefore, supporters have every right to discuss this and not be swept under the rug.

So basically the Family Day has been canned. We have a scratch match every year and there are usually kids holiday programs anyway and open training sessions aimed at kids.

Questions must be asked why we put him back on the ground in a dead rubber. Understand that the scan is precautionary but shouldn't the first precaution have been not to make it worse. So very Melbourne. FMD.

PODCAST: Rd 24 vs Sydney
Would be interested to get the panels take on Salem's game this week and I guess an overall take on his form since his return from injury since the Port Adelaide game. I thought his first 3 quarters were terrible. He couldn't get his hands on the pill. To his credit he lifted his game in the last. Taking away the emotion and my love for the guy and all of his past contributions and the memory of his exceptional first half in the Granny I would even say he could be on the verge of needing a spell to find form. However we are at the pointy end of the season and with Bowey possibly injured and Hibbo possibly returning from concussion and very little game time in the past month or so I don't think we can afford to do that. Plus we do know what he is capable of and I hope he can turn it around on the fly. Love the podcast, thank you, and keep up the great job guys. Some exciting times ahead.

Looking forward to another stellar podcast from you gents. My question tonight is; Given Max's incredible solo performances in the Ruck over the past few weeks and Petty and JVR's 10 goal one two punch as tall forwards where does that leave Brodie Grundy. Is there a role for him this season as either a backup ruck to Max or as the 3rd tall in the forwards line.

The Tigers worry me a little bit. Early in the year I was hoping that this return game against them would be a cakewalk as their season would be in tatters by now. Now for the second week in a row we're playing against a team with their season on the line and a sniff of finals. Whilst I would love to end their season I don't think we will have an easy task of it. What do we need to do to put them out of their misery. Love the Podcast and I'll take my answer off the air.
