End of Era
Would I be right to suggest Hawks hat trick was assisted due to them being strong at that time and expansion teams GWS & Gold Coast comprising the draft for a couple of years? Not putting down their efforts which also had them runners up before the hat trick. Just an observation.

Melbourne Fans Mindset
I’m living overseas these days, but retained my AFL membership at around $700 PA in the hope we get to another GF I’ll get a ticket and fly home for a couple of weeks. Now reconsidering that decision because to me it feels like the 1970’s all over again and seems like we will never be back in the mix. See how this season pans out to see if I renew AFL in 2026. But being a 40+ year mostly suffering MFC member I would sign up for a basic MFC membership. But they need to stop serving up that carp we have been subjected to the past 2 weeks. Beat Geelong? Doubtful but FFS at least have a crack!

Dodgy cats?
I don’t think he was hired as an executive. I do suspect they had him on ~300K per year to come into the office once or twice a week to play solitaire for an hour.

Possibly the result of using tossed away crack pipes, located in the vicinity of Smith Street, for building nests.

Gold Coast Suns Rebrand
No issue with the colours, but the jumper design is pox. And that stupid looking logo that looks like a lifesaver has been spaghettified by crossing the event horizon of a black hole. Who was the idjit who approved that? Not even sure they still use it.

Sam Weideman has been delisted
Lost confidence in Weed when he missed that goal against Adelaide that would've won it. But good luck to him in what he does going forward.

9 Reasons to be Positive Heading into 2025
Consider at stages during the season we were hopeless. Games versus Freo both times, last quarter versus Kangas to name 3. Despite some lousy form during the season, we didn't miss the eight by a lot and in the process lost 4 games by less than a kick. Including one to the eventual premier on their own deck. That despite no Trac for half a season and Clarry being unfit physically and also in the head. 2 of those games go our way and we probably make the eight, but I doubt we get to a prelim. So with that, there is no reason why we can't turn it around provided all the BS politics is sorted and doesn't filter down to the playing group.

Lachie Hunter Retires
You could say made a bigger contribution for us in that GF then James Jordan?

Christian Petracca
I can see Morris (minor), Barrett et al......... "Shock development. Petracca fails to turn up to B&F!!!!!"

My 3 word player analysis V Collingwood

I think Moore is more of a Chardonnay type of bloke.- My 3 word player analysis V Collingwood

Jimmy Bartel was sticking up for us when the other 'journos' were ranting about Trac & Vines. Anyway, Vines staying till 2028. Trac back in 2025 and Oliver a full preseason. The under 23's are coming along nicely. Lots to be bullish about I would've thought. Morris & co can go suck a lemon.- When you knew 2024 was over?
Kings birthday for me. Insipid. As an aside, we lost 4 games by less than a kick. If two of those went our way we'd still be in the race. That said we are not playing no where near where we should be and would have got knocked out in an elimination final. I am pleased with the progression of some of our kids, but can we please do something about delivery into our forward line. It's been our nemesis the past 3 seasons. Oh, and when there is 1 minute left in a game and we trail by less than a kick, how about coaching the team to forget about zone structures and pick up a bloody opponent.- What was your excuse?
In reality that game should have been on Sunday arvo. Scheduling Dees v any expansion team is never going to draw many especially worse at night in the middle of the coldest winter Melbourne's had for years, so I'm informed. Mind you, that 16K was a pathetic turnout. Was expecting 20-23K to be honest. Why wasn't I there? I'm in Thailand. And it's 30C every day!- GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs Fremantle
- Standard of Umpiring
If we could learn to not have goalless quarters, this would not be as big an issue on this forum. The umpiring is bad but we need to take responsibility for missed opportunities. I think at least 2 games this year we have lost due to goalless quarters? Almost a third against North.- Steven May staging fine
Jack Trengove was the first player suspended for a tackle on Dangerfield in the goal square Punt Road end many years ago. A perfect tackle before the concussion thing was a hot topic.- The real state of the game
Watched the game. The commentators were onto that non 50 as soon as it happened. 4 umpires and they all missed or ignored it. The Daicos non decision on incorrect disposal another. And a filth goal came from what looked like a scoop from the ground (I stand to be corrected on that but looked like a throw). All clubs are equal, but some are more equal than others. I know that paraphrase originally applied to pigs, but you could classify filth supporters as pigs except the porcine variety are more intelligent.- Dees Down But Not Out
We aren't out, but very wobbly.- Christian Petracca’s 2024 Season Ending Injuries
Additional to amazing that he came back on is that despite Trac's running and jumping ability being restricted, he still got good possessions in that 5 minute period. Legend. Most of the others on the list. Take note.- PREGAME: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne
