I rate Jake even if it was a bizarre year in 2020. Looked disinterested at times however l will reserve my judgement for until after round 5. Needs to play a role in the forward line where he would be suited now that Ben Brown is with us. Will be looking for improvement from Jake with interest.

2020 Player Reviews: #20 Adam Tomlinson
nosoupforme replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
2019 GWS Tomlinson pinch hit in the ruck in most of their games 58 hit outs 155 marks 425 disposals and kicked 4 goals a pretty good season and no wonder Goody chased him to play a role on the wing. He was pretty average in 2020 however if you go by the stats of 2019 and his highlights he stood out so there is improvement in his game to come. if he plays to his ability he will be valuable for us for sure. watching with interest in 2021. -
Tmac signed at the right time when he was on top of his game however that is the nature of the game. It is unfortunate to see a decline in his play and there might be a number of reasons. He is certainly carrying an injury and that doesn't help confidence. If they don't move him on and he stays so be it. Why not play him down back and why do others disagree? If he can get himself right get him down there. There is a position there for him where he can play the role. We have a spud down back that is not of AFL standard and many supporters are blind to see that let alone our coach. Get him right and let him earn his keep.

Mitch Hannan good skills with hands strong mark good goal sense and he could tackle. His form has not been great since 2018. Wish him the best as he was an honest player for us. That goal v Geelong is one l will always remember. Good luck Mitch.

2020 Player Reviews: #22 Aaron Vandenberg
nosoupforme replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I agree DZ many of us rate him plays hard and straight ahead kind of player. One who plays his role for the team. Yes l expect better from Vanders in 2021. -
I must admit Josh Mahoney has been involved with dealing for draft picks and improving our position in the national draft for a number of years now and is getting better by the year. 31 for Preuss is a great get. Well done Josh and co. .

Trent Rivers, Kossie Pickett and Luke Jackson our 3 top picks in 2019. Three fine picks . FD did their homework on this one.

Rotating off the bench 4th tall in line TMac can also help playing from the wing and pinch hitting in the ruck. I wouldn't be entertaining playing more than 3 talls at a time up forward. You would call that top heavy. You need crumbers. Game is too quick.

Weid turns 24 mid season in 2021 and really must start to deliver the goods. Hopefully with Big Ben Brown and LJ there he might be able to chip in and take more marks which will help the cause.. If the weid plays his role then maybe the confidence will start to flow again. Big Ben, LJ and Weid a new era and exciting times ahead.

Trent has the right attributes to take his game to the next level. Every now and then in comes a draftee with potential. This kid is the real deal. With a strong preseason under his belt l can see him being a regular breaking the lines in the backline. Is one that will take the game on.

I hope he does however IMO he needs a miracle the standard is too high for him to reach. He won't help us make finals. I am sorry he just does not cut it.

Really! how can Joel go with Dusty, Danger or Fyfe if he has no smarts? Please ! Footy smarts never at any stage. I am surprised, l didn't expect those comments from you of all people. What are you thinking? Brain freeze !

Yes i saw him play a number of games at the G In 1971 he played 20 games in his first year. a reasonably accurate kick for goal but his strength was his marking. Played good game time in the ruck as well. He stood out. Unfortunately he spent time travelling to training from Drouin and it court up with him. Different set of circumstances those days.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
nosoupforme replied to Dee tention's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't think he is in our best 22 at the minute and i wasn't about to put him on a pedestal and I don't think his 2 snaps he kicked goals were flukes either although that being his best game against GWS he played for us. 14 and 15 disposals in his last 2 games against GWS with 2 goals and Essendon.. Held his own. He has still a way to go but he has a kick start from the last 3 games and the way he played them. I watch with interest. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN

I think O Baker knows what is expected of him now. What he showed us in the few games late in the season that the potential is definitely there. He has upside. -
Just like the US Elections.

2020 Player Reviews: #28 Oscar McDonald
nosoupforme replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I was just thinking the same only the other day. Not given much of a go and now that Lever and May had found good form Oscar wasn't given enough time for the 3 to work together. I still think he could play a role. He certainly is out of favour if Joel gets a contract. I am scratching my head on that one. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN BROWN
nosoupforme replied to Dee tention's topic in Melbourne Demons
Ben Brown likes Melbourne it reminds him of North. Only now it will be Melbourne. Staying close to home. I won't mind your run up when you have a shot for goal. I think i will start to like it now. A good fit for the DEES! -
Tom Sparrow turns 21 next season had a hand full of games and showed plenty of promise also had game time in the midfield and looks composed. A good solid 2nd preseason and expect him to get more game time. IMO Tom has a good future in front of him.

Love Hunty it a great signing for 2 years has a lot to offer. I find that he is very underrated. I would love to see him play on the half back flank he would break the lines Pace to burn . Well done l am happy for him and happy he signed.

2020 Player Reviews: #31 Bayley Fritsch
nosoupforme replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I rate Fritta he has been good enough without setting the world on fire. He can play down back and hold his own. Has been predominantly playing forward and sometimes as a key forward . For his size that makes him a valuable asset. He knows his problem is his set shots for goal and has the preseason to rectify it. At 24 he is only going to get better. -

Cats Delist 3, 14 Still Without Contract
nosoupforme replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
He one time said that Melbourne were going to draft him and by passed him. Best thing that ever happened to him apart from playing in a Premiership times 2. Well done you achieved the ultimate. -
2020 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett
nosoupforme replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
If Kossie can go up a level by having a strong preseason that will definitely help the cause. l believe our forward line will be better with him there in 2021 now that he knows what to expect. Can bring others into the game with his speed, hardness and tackling. He will improve l have no doubt. He will dazzle the opposition.
