  1. Thanks, WCW. I shared BBB's words, particularly his final two paragraphs, on my socials. Love that man. Good role model. I hope the boys (and their fathers) are listening. Please send that man a big hug.
  2. I'd echo this. While some topics are difficult, and certainly the current gendered-violence crisis, as being addressed by the AFL in each of the games, is not easy to talk about - the discussion of culture/the actions of boys/men in the crowd is clearly relevant, and should be kept where it doesn't descend into personal attacks/legal issues. And I would think Neil should receive explanation. Whatever your view of this issue, it should be discussed. The argument that it doesn't mix with sports doesn't wash, because the AFL itself is incorporating it into the games (which I think is a good visible move, and sends a strong, united message to the crowd - although I think Brad Scott's comments re Tarryn were poorly timed and send the wrong/inconsistent message).
  3. From the game preview on the AFL app… Melbourne and Geelong have faced each other in “nail-biting finals in… 2021’ 2021??! 125-42? That final? 😕🤷‍♂️
  4. Just like a weed, this guy's name keeps popping up.
  5. It was the open hand part that got me. HOW WAS THAT ASSESSMENT MADE?? How/why did Marlion get the benefit? A bit of push and shove is fine, but this was not that - and it certainly takes it out of the 'workplace' and 'inherently accepted conduct' as part of the game argument.
  6. I reckon McAdam will play 80% game time at Casey first before coming back. We know he's got an injury profile, why on earth would we risk the investment in him to date? I'd prefer him to be fit and healthy in September as a genuine X factor player, rather than a great half of footy against the Cats before trudging off in pain - and risking his ongoing fitness and strength. We have plenty of firepower against the Cats (Fritter, JVR, Kozzie, Disco!, Petty - if he plays - and I think he will - at some point it will turn, etc), the key is the midfield lifting - and delivery!
  7. I can only really see two possible changes. Hunter in (Woey out?). This one is not necessary, although Woey was not great. For anyone saying Billings should go out, I don't get it. Aside from a few misses (not alone here), his foot passes and vision was among the best on Wed. He is one of the only one who looks to drill passes to forwards. Windsor (who has been very good) kicked it straight to the Tigers 2-3 times (absolute howlers) and nobody is calling for him to be swapped. I'm not sure what some are expecting from Billings, but aside from a poor game or two, I think he is generally improving and finding his feet in a new team with a different structure. Last game was good, I think we will need him to continue such vision against the Cats. Petty out (Fullarton in?) - this one is tricky. It's clear Petty is struggling, both physically and with confidence. I'd say there is a good argument to send him to Casey for a few weeks to find some form. This would allow Fullarton to come in (his game at Casey was decent) - and give JVR a break with rucking duties - which will help him focus on kicking goals. On the other hand, we know Goody rates Petty - who is a premiership defender - and will find his feet. If I was a betting man, I would say Goody persists with what he knows (is possible) - and backs Petty to get in to it. It's probably too big a game to risk Fullarton.
  8. It’s so good to see Clarry so healthy and engaged. We don’t hear him talk a lot, I’ve noticed a lot more of it lately. And he’s been good. Love it ❤️
  9. How did Turner not win the medal? BOG by the length of a BBB run-up
  10. Pros: 4 points, Disco! BOG by a country mile. The kids, generally. Cons: Lots of our stars quiet/sloppy. Too many turnovers. Not saying we will lose against the cats/blues, but if we play like that, we will. Need to sharpen up. Quick. Oh and Petty, the poor man’s Disco. WOG by a mile. Off to Casey pls. Not very convincing but 4 pts, go Dees
  11. I know we can’t sub petty off but can we just take him off? I don’t care who goes on. Just take him off and put the jacket on and that’s it.
  12. Wow Petty isn’t even a shade of the guy we were fighting to keep in the off season.
  13. Turner our MVP tonight Brilliant vision to Fritter Now please bury these muppets for percentage. We will need it
  14. He is so clearly and unequivocally out of form on all metrics, it’s not even funny.
  15. I know he’s had little offseason but geez petty looks ordinary. Can’t mark, can’t kick, v slow. If we’re gonna sell him next year we’re going to need him to find his feet very soon. In disco we trust
  16. Windsor has been responsible for some deadset clangers tonight (not alone), but that was very very nice and it’s sweet for once to grab those annoying junk time goals Can we please just bury these guys? We will need the percentage this year.
  17. I was just about to say billings has been ok by foot, then he did that…
  18. Adelaide can have petty (for a handsome price of course) GIVE ME THE REAL DEAL DISCO ❤️
  19. I like disco up there. Competes, gets in good spaces, looks like he wants to dig in. now, let’s all dig in and sharpen up!
