2022 Brownlow Medal
Anyone who went to the pre season game and witnessed Cripps absolutely destroy us would have seen that he had got his body right and was in for a huge season.

It's the Culture
I hope Jake Lever has a good think about how his sulking re the decision against him with a few minutes to go handed Brisbane the game when we were surging. What could have happened if the free kick had been taken from the original spot? The shot is missed, we have possession again, May kicks it straight down the middle, we score again and suddenly there's a single kick in it again. Lever is supposed to be a "leader", but what a terrible example he set for our younger players.

CASEY: PF vs Brisbane
Out all afternoon so couldn't watch. Is there any way to access a replay?

POSTGAME: SF vs Brisbane
I haven't read this whole thread, but has anyone given credit to Fagan for his brilliant tactic in playing dead, and I mean completely dead - no effort, no chasing - in the final round so that the Dees thought they were good to go for the finals, and that the Lions were easy beats. Daniher did not elect to stay in Brisbane, Fagan ordered him to stay there because he knows that the Lions are a much better side without him. He refrained from tagging Oliver in round 23, but had Berry primed and ready for the task when it mattered. "Charlie, don't try too hard, let Hibberd think he has you covered" etc etc. Just brilliant, and the Dees fell for it, hook, line and sinkered/sunk.

NON-MFC: Finals 2022 Week 01
So good! Bye bye Tigers!

NON-MFC: Finals 2022 Week 01
Gotta feel pretty smug about watching a team we beat by nearly ten goals last week giving the “dangerous” Tigers a real run for their money.

Anyone with a haircut as bad as Prestia’s deserves to be subbed out of the game.

TRAINING: Thursday 1st September 2022
I have more really good shots, but the site won't let me upload any more because it would exceed the "max total size of 302.47 kb". Is there any way to get around this?

TRAINING: Thursday 1st September 2022
The boys all moved well despite knee bandages on Gus, Kozzie and Trent. No knee bandages on BBB, Max or Salo, which is really good news. Here's a few pics from the session. ADMIN EDIT: Pics have been move to this posts. Flower Magic's Photos

Easily Georgiades but I'll vote for Charlie, as will my father, two sisters, brother and two pet dogs 😆

Farewell Luke Jackson
But for the rest of us, it's going to be like the Wiz all over again. Watching him star against other clubs in a Freo jumper and, worse still, like Jeff, star against us, and all the time wishing like hell that he was still ours, and thinking: "If only ..."

POSTGAME: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
Oh, a sightly surreal moment just then. Standing at the lights in the Brisbane CBD and something comes whizzing down the hill and across in front of me. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Tom McDonald on an electric scooter! As long as he doesn't fall off and hurt his knee ...😲

Stats Files - 2022
The kick/handball differential is of course heavily influenced by the pressure applied by opponents. Last night, Brisbane's pressure on the ball carrier was often low or non-existent. Compare the manic pressure applied by Collingwood two weeks ago. The run was back alright, but it's a lot easier to run when no one's chasing you. But it was a pleasure watching our boys hit targets time and time again as the Lions supporters around me became more and more frustrated with their team's woeful execution.

Farewell Luke Jackson
The man holds the key to our back to back quest. No team can compete with the Gawn/Jackson combo. This is where we have the comprehensive edge over the [censored]. Rhys Stanley will need therapy after Max and Luke take him and Geelong to hell and back.

GAMEDAY: Rd 23 vs Brisbane
On the 3.20pm flight to Brissie this afternoon, then to the Pineapple Hotel in Kangaroo Point (gotta love these names) where I'm told the Demon Army will gather pre and post game. Can't wait, go Dees!

VOTES: Rd 22 vs Carlton
I watched the replay this morning because I thought I must have missed something about Petty's game watching from the lower level of seating last night. But no, nothing changed. I saw a serviceable game, nothing more. Petty gave away three unnecessary free kicks (a quarter of Carlton's total received). He has a bad habit of pushing his opponent in the back when caught behind (see the Pies' crucial last goal last week). Yes, he saved a couple of goals, but isn't that a defender's role? Agree that May's game was far superior. Curnow's lack of influence had more to do with Carlton's delivery (or lack thereof) to him. It seems to me that many people casting votes here are influenced by the TV commentary rather than using their own eyes..

VOTES: Rd 22 vs Carlton
Clarry's "lack of discipline" came after two centre bounces where he was blatantly blocked and held by Carlton's no. 43 (whomever he is). Yes, he shouldn't have responded the way he did, but FFS when will the umpires give Clarry the free kicks he deserves for this type of illegal manhandling off the ball?
