  1. Outplayed and outcoached. Cannot see a single positive unfortunately.
  2. I reckon TMac is playing his guts out and going OK. He was the player chasing the Bulldogs player who was penalised for running too far.
  3. Anyone know the Bulldogs' record at Metricon?
  4. Greatest ever: Robert Flower (there's a surprise ?), honourable mention Jeff Farmer. Current: Max Gawn
  5. In: Gawn Out: Preuss (but very stiff to miss) TMac's versatility saving him from the axe.
  6. I agree, he is a gem, broke my heart when he went to the Filth. Imagine having him in our backline now ?
  7. Thanks to Fork 'em, the grid now features ten different players. I had forgotten Newton's mark, probably because I had erased that terrible game (among many shockers that year) from my memory. The grid makes a good screen saver ??
  8. Because Tomlinson is not a CHB, and never will be. TMac is a better player than anyone else we've tried there this year, including his brother. Good key position players are rare, but I can think of various players who have moved from attack to defence and vice versa to suit their team's needs, e.g. Hardeman, Neitz, Knights, Glendinning. If TMac and May take the opposition talls, Lever becomes free to play his intercept role. I agree that it's unlikely to happen, but I reckon it's worth a try.
  9. Minimum changes to a winning side please. In: Gawn, Viney Out: Tomlinson, AVB Play TMac at CHB.
  10. Fine effort by the two contestants TeamPlayedFine39 and Dee Zephyr - 87 and 76 points respectively (out of a possible 120) - thanks for playing! Answers are: 1. Russell Robertson - Carlton - MCG - David Neitz - 2008 - don't know and don't care 5. Shaun Smith - Brisbane - Gabba - Lyon, Adam Yze - 1995 - Richard Champion and others 6. Jeremy Howe - Sydney - SCG - x - 2012 - Heath Grundy 7. Ricky Pattered - W Bulldogs - Howe - 2011 - 9 Lindsay Gilbee, 29 Easton Wood 8. Liam Jurrah - Port Adelaide - Football Park - Jack Watts - 2010 - 19 Nick Salter or 39 Justin Westhoff? 9. Colin Sylvia - Gold Coast - MCG - x - 2012 - Gary Ablett and some other bloke 10. Jeremy Howe - W Bulldogs (although I thought it was Freo) - MCG - Jesse Hogan - 2015 - don't know and don't care
  11. For each of the ten photos: Q1 (easy): Name the high flier (1 point each). Q2 (easy): Name the opposing team (1 point each). Q3 (harder): Name the other Demon players (2 points for all, 1 point for some). Q4 (harder): Name the venue (2 points). Q5 (hardest): Name the year (3 points). Q6 (hardest): Name the opposition players (3 points for all, 2 points for some, 1 point for one).
  12. Ummm, how would she feel? Well, unless she is completely lacking in a sense of humour, I think she should be LOL. And while I'm on it, it seems most of the above posters are indeed completely lacking a sense of humour. Um, guys, the use of the song was a joke ... The song title is "Nathan Jones". It's a cheesy 80's style pop tune with little or no redeeming musical qualities, i.e. a crap song. But how many AFL footballers have a pop song with their name as the title? Come on everyone, lighten up!
  13. Yes, and as it happens, I had intended posting this two weeks ago, but unfortunately life got in the way ...
