  1. Leopard and Spots... Nuff said!
  2. Moderately worried about this game... by how far will be the margin?
  3. Now that the 3rd JLT game is out of the way, can we go and play proper football now please? Geelong will be keen to make amens next week. Looks like this years going to be a battle early on. But we’ll come good, once May settles and our leaders step it up, we’ll get back up the ladder - go Dees!
  4. Agreed. He’s such a consistent player, highly underrated IMO.
  5. Either way, the two power forwards weren’t that bad for their first hit out. It surprises me how Jack and Houlli never seem to age. Hope our boys have that type of sustained careers.
  6. All I can say is: Footy is back!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. When do we play Carlton? ?
  8. It’d be nice to start the season on top of the ladder.. but, I shouldn’t get ahead of myself
  9. We now have a team that is likely to hit the golden 50-80 games simultaneously- this of course is a result of recruiting and assembling a team - of which - a few trades were required. Dunn and Howe were great players for the Dees, but the model for a successful, and sustainable future, required something different. I know I’ll get burnt for this but good on them, we’ll meet them again in the Granny this year so leave it till then to decide...
  10. While this is an absolute joke, I’m still very confident we can smash those mugs in Adelaide round 1 - they’ve got as many outs as we do.. Despite being total rubbish, the good news is that this decision becomes the basis for all future decisions on similar circumstances. i mean, how many times has claret copped unnecessary attention. It draws the line, a soft one yes, but one that the Dees need to consider before Rd1.
  11. Good thing is that we’re ironing this stuff out early in the season, Clayton and Vanders were deliberate - good to send the message early. May on the other hand was just unlucky - probably should appeal..
  12. If they were true leaders at AFL house, they’d all take the test in the interest of the game before the players and announce, yep this is what we’re about, this is what we believe in - well, true leaders that is.... ?
  13. Ok, let’s keep it simple. Black and white. 1. Test all players (mandatory). Will it hurt teams in the short term? Probably. Will it have a long term lasting effect? Yes. 2. Or, don’t. (There’s no middle ground here, someone will always try to exploit the grey areas.) The leagues choice..
  14. Yer, he’s alright I guess..
  15. Can’t wait for the new Land Rover Defender (Jag yeah?)
  16. My 2019 predictions: 1. KK is encouraged to don the helmet after being knocked out in his second appearance in what could only be described as ‘a flight of fancy’ speccy attempt gone wrong.. 2. Whilst Adelaide’s internal cultures woes continue to plague them, they improve moderately by end of year. Unfortunately though, Melbourne thump them again by more than 50 points... Big Tex is seen crying... 3. By end of season, Clarry will have been approached by a delegation from NASA, MIT and Harvard who are furiously trying to understand how he continuously defies the laws of physics with his phone-booth footy approach. 4. Gary Pert attempts to initiate a coup from Collingwood to acquire Weidemann, only to find that Jacko threatens to knock his block off again! Pert concedes... 5. In another semi-final against the cats, both Gaz and Selwood again succumb to the prowess of Viney’s left and right biceps who are now affectionately referred to by Melbourne supporters as “assault and battery”, respectively.
  17. To be fair, I’m really happy for the lad. Yes he’ll likely not ever reach the potential that we hoped he would for us, as he won’t for Freo. But if he does, I’m ok with it as Freo need all the help they can get! My major concerns were that 1. He couldn’t kick beyond 40m consistently and slot a goal, and 2. His body language and resultant performance lacked professionalism. Noting his very difficult time over the past few years, 2. Could be forgiven, but deep down 1. Was the one that truly had me concerned and I now place my forward hopes in TMAC and Weed. Later buddy, good luck with it, hope you get the most out of being west-side..
  18. Gold! Keep this thread going!
  19. Is there a video of “all the tackles” I’d love to see this as a common feature ? i cant work out which one was my favourite: Weid on Danger or Clarry (hipnshoulder) on Selwood or, Jetta on Selwood?
  20. Hey Cassiew! Billy was just below me too, I felt for the lad given what a win against Melbourne would’ve meant for him... but he was humble, hats off to the man! So glad I was in the presence of a fellow demon lander!!! (you weren’t in that row of 4 girls R9 were you?)
  21. Well... such a great win, plenty of heat and I was so proud that the boys got to the “stars” in numbers and held them to account for their indiscretions- Ablett you weak [censored], Selwood you weak [censored], and danger you emotionally weak individual... ever since Vince gave him a lesson, he’s never been able to deal with Melbourne pressure. (Thank you Vince for exposing this weakness). The boys stood up for each other tonight, I’m so glad I flew down, what a great win! Be afraid Hawks!!!
  22. Tend to agree, the ranking by @Maluski wasn’t bad either. The last 6 chipped in and held up their end of the bargain, WC and GWS are excellent examples of that, but I do agree with @Skuit, if our top six aren’t playing their part, we’re doomed.
  23. The smiling assassin. Absolute legend of a bloke. Will be missed, but his legacy lives on in a club that has now become tougher, more fierce and more respected due to his efforts on field. The weekend at Bernie’s on Dangerfield has to have been one of the most satisfying games I’ve ever seen. He really gave our players a social licence to back themselves in and make themselves accountable. Best of luck Bernie!
  24. Dolla fitty- I’d still bring him in (in round 5)
