Where did Clarry come in when he was drafted?
-
I know we’ve had Mann, Flower, Barrassi but for my era, only Neitz and Oliver are etched in my memory for life. Such a privilege to be able to see this class
-
Yep, love this lad!
-
Next year just “Don’t do what Donny don’t does”
-
Gotta hand it to them for hanging on. We were in that boat for so long.. wasn’t until our board recruited Roos and soon after Vince (who in my view) single-handedly brought back self confidence and pride in the red and blue when it was needed most. From there, the rest is history. I feel like Suns need a circuit breaker like that to progress.. but for now, I think they’ll continue to languish.

Saints Sack Ratten & Appoint Lyon as Coach
DeezNuts replied to whatwhat say what's topic in Melbourne Demons
Lyon clearly knows his stuff, particularly in relation to our Lyon… -
He looks sharp and hungry… feed him with an opportunity Rd.1

Which Demon is the most likely to have a breakout year in 2023?
DeezNuts replied to Chelly's topic in Melbourne Demons
That would be wonderful -
It’s so simple! I did wonder throughout the year why our forward line always seemed so congested (excluding the kicking into the pocket) why our forwards found it hard to release the defender and run into space.
-
Still can’t believe we got him, I’m so interested to see how the two premium big men in the comp will work together.
-
I just hope he recognises the opportunity that he’s been given and works to not only achieve, but excel in the role that he’s been offered. He comes with talent, but needs to earn his spot and push a little harder at the chance than he indicated in his first presser (a little too confident and no immediate eye contact with the interviewer).

That too was my best live footy moment, sitting there with dad right behind Billy Brownless (who wasn’t particularly happy all game) in the ‘western wings’ a mile from the action that tracked east, it was fantastic - the crowd was deafening!!!
-
True, not my best post, but just so frustrating time and time again..

About time.. later Weed!

Getting back on track, I’m sure we can bank on ourselves pulling our hair out at some point when the CS haven’t evolved… either our list and composition changes drastically or we will have to adapt the game style
-
They’ll probably have to if they don’t want it to turn into the recognised mid-fielder award… especially when you have coaches votes alternatives which call it in a more balanced manner! I don’t want to incorrectly simplify the game and say that there’s only backs, mids and forwards, but surely those that stand out in their respective lanes should have an equal chance at it
-
Tbh, at some point, the board will look at the coaching staff and expect innovation
-
Surely SG hasn’t shown all of his cards just yet?
-
As a former Victorian, I actually love seeing Swans and GWS winning here in NSW as it brings more spectators to our great game. Anything that detracts from NRL is a good thing, I also like the Sydney/Melbourne rivalry.
-
Luke Dunstan had a blinder in the reserves, surely he can backup if Tracc is out? Is there room for TMAC to come in and straighten us up?
-
Can adversity bring a certain strength? We’ve got injury niggles, just lost on our own turf, looking at a steep climb ahead to have any chance at the flag. What can the coaches do to mentally prepare the team for what looks like a very difficult few weeks, after what was a very difficult year?

Salem, Sparta and how about May’s intercepts on Buddy!
-
Can’t sleep… nervous for the game…
-
Wow

When Heeney is having a slow game he gets thrown around positionally, so I like the negation of his strengths and exposition of his weaknesses as a better tactic.
