The Collingwood component of his contract would have stipilulated that $350k would be paid over a 5 year duration where ever that may be Club A or Club B. This happens in the NBA and NFL yearly so whichever club that signs the initial deal (Collingwood) is liable to whatever percentage/figure is agree upon on the life of the contract. Which will be 4 years at $350k starting when ever he signs during trade period. MFC lawyers would be all over this.
