Very rarely do incoming leadership changes within professional sporting organisations continue on with the same onfield regime the following year. They want their own man to put in place. I've racked my brain as to why Alan Richardson has been retained in his position as GM of football when quiet frankly he has overseen most of the [censored] that has taken place in the last 3-4 year period with our culture. Is it the reluctance of another soft cap pay out? Is it the optics of futher upheaval in our footy dept. Is it to retain him to pass on knowledge of each player to the incoming coach? Or is it to pick his brain on a relationship with a contending candidate for the coaching job? A candidate that SS and PG like and to facilitate meetings with a certain NB?

Jefferson has alot of work to do in the off-season. In the gym and his anaerobic fitness base must be a massive priority, getting to contests and not hands on hips after 1 effort. A change in coach might be a blessing in disguise for him and the list. Goal kicking has been absolute atrocious for Matthew along with his aerial marking ability, simply has to develop more strings to his bow. Absolute last chance saloon for him to make it, he'd want to be making significant strides in 26 otherwise its curtains at AFL level.

Let's just say Nathan Buckley gets the gig for arguments sake. Would Nathan then put the question to Jordan Lewis to become involved at some level whether that be the newly formed position of head of strategy or some other role that's less time demanding. This might help Nathan adjust to the club overall with Jordan having spent time with the club. CHRIS FROM CAMBERWELL might finally get his wish of having Jordan involved at some level.

Realistically if the rumours are true and there are suitors for May and Lever, well you have to do the right thing by the club and explore the best possibilities for us. Have been excellent servants of the club, became Premiership heroes and have completed what they have set out to achieve. The time has come to regenerate our defensive set up, release some salary cap pressure and generate some draft currency. Petty, Disco, McDonald, Derksen, Adams we will be ok down back, time to think forward now.
