GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs Adelaide
He's a smart operator Glenn Bartlett he knew exactly what he was doing when he gave the playing group and football department a clip. Absolutely no way out for Goody tonight if we cough this up, coming off a 6 day break against a samboy cup u/10 team coming off a 4 day break. 2 debutantes raft of changes. It's chalk and cheese.

Lloyd: Trade Oliver or Brayshaw
I've thought this since last year, Brayshaw will be traded at years end unfortunately. We need to continue adding pieces to the puzzle and we have too many pieces in that position.

Preferred Midfield Mix
Apart from Petracca going in the forward line and improved fitness out of sight, what other Midfielder has a different string to their bow? Clarry spent time in the F50 once upon a time, but apart from that its all the same garbage on repeat. Harmes in the backline was a fail, Viney and Brayshaw are stale in their current positions, we have not evolved as a team or a club. This exact fixture 3 years ago in 2017 saw us play without Max Gawn, Jesse Hogan and one other from memory. We experimented with Tmac as Full Forward, Cam Pedersen in the ruck and i think it was Tyson rotating with Viney inside the guts and that started our run for that year. Why not put Pickett through the guts for a period he's quick, tackles hard and has slick evasive skills required for a midfielder. Start getting creative Simon before it's all over.

Gawn In Doubt for Crows?
Why would you risk a further serious injury, play Pruessy. Lets shark to some other ruckman for a change. We have become an open book for everyone to read in the last 18 months.

CHANGES: Rd 10 vs Adelaide
We are well and truely a mess on here. I think Action my need to have a rest his body isn't quiet there yet should do a Weideman Apprenticeship, The one thing i truely don't understand is the acquisition of Tomlinson to play on a Wing, sure its a problem area for us but he's not suited to it. I've mentioned this before along with others, why not throw him at CHF and try and clunk a few. He's not bad above his head and has a reasonable tank. Really upset for H.Petty that he is not availible, he is the future CHF that lad.

I think I've worked it out...?
That's exactly why the game against Brisbane was so important to win, to play a top opponent off a 4 day break in a game of AFL with no rotation is near impossible. Teams in Europe who play Football rotate their squad from a league game played on Sat or Sun. Their is usually 5-6 changes to a champions league match day starting 11, that's half a team, how many changes did we make? 2 changes, knowhere near enough changes to maintain quality of performance. Midfields containing (3-4 players) are usually replaced along with Fullbacks (2 players) are usually rested to maintain the high energy levels the positions require to keep team perfomances high. We were sluggish coming off a slugfest against Bris and to back it up in such a short space of time against a quality team was too much to ask. If it was a Adelaide, Sydney or Essendon might have had an improved chance against a physically lesser opponent. I've been thinking about it quiet a bit today how can a team recover and play a game of AFL in 4 days? Port had a full day of recovery up on us. As soon as they broke us early in the first i knew the game was up. Remember the turn around for games after ANZAC eve games against Essendon we would have another whole day preparation compared to Essendon and we would smack them everytime. It's a compromised comp we all know that, would like to see how other team play on these 4 day turn arounds and we might get a better perspective on our performance. Collingwoods turn next on a 4 day turn around but the draw is very kind against a weak Sydney side. We were the guinea pigs for the 1st experiment.

I'm watching Basic Instinct on Foxtel more thrills in 90 minutes than the last 2 years of watching this club.

TEAMS: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
I reckon the main thinking behind bring Tmac back in is to give Gawny more rest. He is shouldering 90% of the ruck duties during a testing period. We don't lose that presents of 2 marking forwards when Action goes into ruck duties. We need Tmac closer to goal for his conversion rate, he is a dead eye [censored]. My only concern is the ball coming out of the back line easily, but if they are kicking it to the right positions we should have the numbers in and around the drop of the ball. I can tell you this much i would rather the dump kicks going into a 2 talls and 3 defenders type scenario in the F50 rather than a 1 on 3 situations we have found ourselves in this year and last. This will open it up for the likes of Fritta, Melk and Pickett to work their magic. Its an exciting experiment to see if this formula works, if all these scientists hadn't worked on formulas in the past none of them would be in existence. I really think this could take us to the next level, lets see if the players and brains trust can pull it off.

TEAMS: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
I don't know what has gotten into the selectors of late they are making all the right calls. Tmac, Weideman and Action all in the same forward line looks scrumptious especially for the kick down the line to help elevate us under pressure it just looks dangerous. We could really go to another level tommorow night with all these options, they must have really looked into the way Brisbane smashed Port at the Gabba 3 weeks ago. Im feeling like Big Kev at the moment. I'm excited. Carn you mighty Rucking Dees.??

Burgo, the EPL & Shorter Quarters
Learning from the best in Klopp, alot of people on here wouldn't like hearing that. We have tightened up at the back this year, Jurgen could be rubbing off on Simon, just waiting for the Forward line to click into gear. Could Tmac back in the line up unleash a 3 pronged Tall Forward line and take us to the promise land? One can only sit back and hope.

CHANGES: Rd 09 vs Port Adelaide
Neale was running hot for the 2nd qtr especially, Clarry could have gone forward for a period and Harmes to Neale to clamp down on him and disturb his rhythm. 5 minutes per quarter wouldn't have hurt Polly.

Pickett Fined for Rough Tackle
Ask Goldberg of WWE fame.

Pickett Fined for Rough Tackle
Exactly right, he was in a stationary position, a spear is executed with a 3-5 meter run up. Insanely stupid fine.

Pickett Fined for Rough Tackle
Really can't believe this decision as text book as it comes and he's 1k lighter, f me.
