  1. You'd suspect Sparrow would have come in for Viney if his injury was known Thursday. The most like for like IMO. So out Baker, in Sparrow. Toughness is a must given the swans mids. Out Tomlinson, in Petty. It's his time. TMac was only one wayward kick away out of defence today for the sentiment to be entirely different haha.
  2. Super excited to watch the Dees today! As a Taswegian, it's my first live game since R23 2019. The BB fairytale - playing first game in home state - just makes it all that much sweeter!
  3. I reckon Melbourne can't resist the fairytale Ben Brown story here. Debut for new club, against old club, at his home state. Make way Melksham I say!
  4. As a Hobartian, hoping like hell it'll go ahead at Blundstone!
  5. What a God damn quarter! I'M STARTING TO BELIEVE
  6. Amazing result tbh! Richmond played pretty damn well, their pressure was off the charts.
  7. Personally, I'm quite disappointed to be dropping Sparrow for Melksham. Jake would want to be setting up plenty of goals to justify his non-tackling and low-pressure acts.
  8. I would take Sparrow ahead of Melksham, pretty much every day of the week. Melksham was amazing in 2018, but he hasn't had the same impact since IMO. He also drove me up the wall in 2020 with his non-chases. Won't have that problem with Sparrow.
  9. Jimmy Jordon with a game high 9 tackles, and 20 team disposals. Seriously impressed with what he has produced in his 2 debut games!
  10. 2 quarters won to zero. Stay the course Dees.
  11. I counted at least 3 kicks inside 50 today by Spargo that hit a target, leading to a set shot goal. That is why he's in the team. I like him.
  12. Awww come on, we played well! Played well more often than we didn't, at least. Well done Dees :)
  13. Geez Jordon knows how to get to the right spots! Very, very impressive debut.
  14. One would suspect the membership department was a COVID casualty. Some of it I mean.
  15. Brayshaw as the whipping boy for mine. Quite literally if I see him lope in another chase :P
  16. I really liked Mahoney. Represented the club with aplomb, when he spoke, you listened because he'd only speak when there was something worth saying. I won't pretend to know what he was like internally, but externally he did us really, really proud IMO
  17. We wouldn't have had the success of 2018 if Paul Roos was still coach.
  18. Would much rather have inside information provided to us that didn't eventuate, than no information at all. Please don't be discouraged Doctor! You've single handedly been worth at least half of the value of the forum posts in the past few weeks :)
  19. Getting in true Melbourne people - really good ones from all reports too - is the best result. I think Yze would thus have an inherent ruthless edge that the club wants. True investment.
  20. I understand I might be in the minority here, but I'm a fan of Mahoney (or the parts we get to see). Has always conducted himself professionally, even during controversial times and I've always been left with a level of calm assurance that I haven't felt from our other media regulars, except for perhaps Jackson. However, I think he would know that your accountable on results, and if that's the reason for his alleged dismissal, then it can't be argued against. We're underperforming, and he plays a vital role on our success.
  21. Smith makes us a better side. Personally, I'm for making us a better side.
  22. Walters and taberner out just means more goals for Jesse to kick. Go Jesse!
  23. That Petracca goal was somethin else. He is seriously good.
