  1. You can do both these days
  2. l like Angus, who doesn't, but alot of fuss is being made about how he plays his role ... essentially its a traditional wingers role that has become rare in the AFL ... all wingers need to roll back into defence, hold their position when needed, break even or better on your opponent, occupy and create space with run, sneak down and kick a goal or two, be super fit etc .... hopefully Angus can continue his improvement and become elite in that position
  3. Good to see the dees turn around the fortunes of another big key forward in Tayla Harris
  4. If we are playing money ball, then Brayshaw has more value on the market playing in the midfield where he could become elite for the right team with the right fit, as opposed playing a handy defensive wing position ... downside is he is part of the fabric and culture we have built which is hard to value
  5. Timing is interesting ... could be a bit [censored] off about what the doc indicated goidy said and dealing with it privately with the club ps l know what his dad said publicly what it not being a concern
  6. I would have said Neville Jetta but he played in the AFLX premiership 😉 I think we lost 25 players to WWI and WWII. Would be great to have any of them back with a soft spot for Barassi Snr https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/554095/players-killed-on-active-service
  7. All we need now is a wave pool to compliment the sand and supporters will come out of the wood work
  8. l think we could have won a premiership with a fit jess also. Our list management team would have found a way to attract another key back or quality player as they have done consistently
  9. l wouldn't be lumping jess in with watts ... jess trained his bum off and worked hard during games .. in his last year with us he was leading our b and f before injury ... his body language wasn't always the best but he was working on it ... watts rarely trained or played at high intensity for long periods
  10. Beat them 3 times and only really tried for a quarter in round 23. Understand the spin he is putting on for his playing group but an in form dees beats an in form cats team in 2021 and the playing group would know that
  11. For success starved mfc supporters, watching Robbie Flower captain Victoria and light up the wing (when it was a highly respected and competitive positron) was the closest thing we had to a final
  12. Backing there will be a few more questions sent today ...
  13. Might be good to understand why the QB clash at the MCG is a Collingwood home game in 2022, given we haven't been able to play there the last 2 years? If we count 2022, in the last 4 years Collinwood will have played 2 QB home games at the MCG (~$2mill revenue) and we haven't played any (probably generating a loss for games interstate)
  14. If we count 2022, in the last 4 years Collinwood will have played 2 QB home games at the MCG (~$2mill revenue) and we haven't played any (probably generating a loss for games interstate). Seems unfair, might be a good question for the members forum actually
  15. Saw this interesting chart which highlights what a premiership and sustained success can do for a club ... hope we can replicate it https://thenewdaily.com.au/sport/afl/2015/09/06/can-poor-club-win-afl-premiership/
  16. Mate not sure why you are now trying to rewrite history re trolling comment. After I sent a detailed view on our performances under Goody, without any personal or emotive remarks to any of the posters here, you decided to mock me with an image for a cheap laugh and join the pile on. Don't agree with me, many others haven't on here about this topic, but do it in the right way Re the extension, I have said to 2025 so we aren't far off
  17. They certainly won't announce anything before the vic government does ... take that to the bank
  18. correct. l said 3 years then everyone pretty much agreed but didn't like the logic for it and got ants in their pants and got more personal than they need to .. some also said 3 to 5 years
  19. pretty sure you started the convo with me mate. You said 3 years them you didn't say 3 years ... very confusing
  20. Hang on that doesn't make sense to me ... if I say he will get 3 years and you say he will get 3 years then that means we agree he will get 3 years doesn't it?
  21. I have absolutely already stuck my neck out in prior posts, maybe read some if you haven't already. So you also agree on 3 years
  22. Not exactly sticking your neck out ... why the range?
  23. yeah but what would you offer? also not sure why he would want are shorter offer unless he needs to get back home with family or the like in adelaide
  24. Actually thick skinned mate, but not blind either. Re coaching performance, Goody has said himself that he wasn't at his best and coping in the period prior to 2021 so I'm not sure how you give him a pass when he doesn't. The coach sets the direction and is the most influential role at the club. His contract KPI's talk about where he finishes on the ladder. So how many years would you extend him for? And please don't say 3 years and agree with me after all the back and forth.
  25. You'd think they'd have a pic of him in Adelaide gear by now ... would probably annoy some Crows supporters seeing him in mfc gear
