  1. Thanks for the help DC, was only kidding however hence the wink at the end
  2. I can work out the rest of the players but who is Buffalo 😉
  3. Is he is as good as the bulldogs were suggesting to lift his value then he would have played ... the last 3 or so players in their starting 22 aren't that talented ... surely if he was any good he would have got more of a gig rotating up forward/wing/very occasionally in the midfield like a Sparrow or Jordan
  4. The club was in a state of flux for a while re his 'concussion' issues and he didn't turn up to training for a while there ... Peter Jackson at the time said something like, 'we will continue negotiating for only so long' ... seeming to be peeved with Lumumba ... he also strangely claimed he wasn't allowed to play to reach triggers in his contact ... all very odd
  5. So not a player as such, but the midfield group of the last 2 years ... the view held by many was that they were too alike and that we needed to trade someone out to get more balance ... rubbish ... Lions didn't trade out any of their gun mids during their premiership years as they are too hard to come by ... just need to play selfless team football and a premiership awaits
  6. Love that he invited the team to go back to back knowing how talented they are - he of all people would know what it takes! Suggestions that it should be called the Barassi Premiership Cup I support!
  7. Check the start of the podcast for DAY10 ... Tim is very impressive from what I have seen to date not just in this trade period ... love that he acknowledges the contribution of Todd Viney and others https://www.afl.com.au/podcasts/afl-exchange
  8. l had my MFCSS surgically removed
  9. Important to be modest. l just tell my friends that we won't know if the dees are any good until we play a team above us on the ladder
  10. So we have picks 17, 37, 49, 57, and 94 and 4 uncontracted list spots given no announcements yet on some players. Likely that: pick 94 isn't used we sign Hibberd for a year we sign Hore for a year (if his body is ok) as he is better than pick 49 or 57 in the draft as depth Declase I am assuming will miss out If that's right, we only select two players in the draft. So we need to do some pick swaps to get whatever value we can out of 49 and 57 i.e. swap pick 37, 49, and 57 for pick 32 etc
  11. Part of the deal might also be that the other 3 clubs involved in the swap don't pick Mac Andrews. Not part of the trade rules but it happens
  12. So looking purely at the draft spots we lose out here. Although other factors are clearly at play I am sure i.e. strength of this years & next years draft, father son selections pushing spots back, academy points needed, potentially packaging some of these picks up and swapping them again with other clubs, a particular player in mind etc. Will hold faith for now as the team have runs on the board
  13. I think it was TIm Lamb leading, going by the clubs vids of trade nights when they picked up Jacko, Kozzie, and Rivers
  14. Yep, in terms of chat about what's potentially going out, its: AVB Kade Chandler
  15. Among the other clubs to come forward for the Suns' pick 19, which they were officially granted last week as part of the AFL's concession package, is Melbourne. The 2021 premiers' first pick for this year's draft is No.33 but the Demons are interested in grabbing the Suns' pick 19 in a deal that would require Melbourne to offload its future first-round pick.
  16. The 22-year-old Stengle parted ways with the Crows at the start of this season but has gone on to star for Woodville-West Torrens in the SANFL. He kicked 44 goals in 19 matches including three goals in the Grand Final win over Glenelg last weekend. As Stengle is a delisted free agent the Cats could pick him up without having to deal with the Crows, but would have to fight off reported interest from Melbourne, Collingwood and for a return to the Tigers. 17. Agree, if we imagine a scenario where one maybe two of our mids/wings/forwards get injured he will be very handy pick up. He also won't cost us anything. Has excellent ball winning ability and Choco will sort out his kicking and decision making pretty quickly.
  18. I had a different take of him watching 'Making Their Mark' - didn't come across as someone that has a really strong presence about him when talking with the players. Small sample though
  19. Given some of their top 10 trade misses in recent years they probably shouldn't be joke too much about it ...
  20. If its a salary dump which the pies need in order to move on plus a future 1st rounder and sweetener then it is possible. We seem to have space in the cap given the Cerra approach
  21. Given we don't have to make room (it seems) for a higher profile player to come in this trade period, it will be useful to keep our depth for another tilt at the 2022 flag. Melk & Weid, will get promised equal opportunities by Goody (if they work hard in the off season) and if we get a normal amount of injuries they become important for us again.
  22. Hmmm ... doesn't seem like a promotion as such which makes the change curious ... perhaps he has a greater responsibility for team performance in the new role ... not sure
  23. Think someone shared this earlier ... aggregates articles and vids also https://www.myheartbeatstrue.com/
