Menzel was playing for the Cats' VFL team against North Ballarat at Simonds Stadium on Saturday morning when the injury occurred. It was his first competitive hit-out since he needed a knee reconstruction after going down in last year's qualifying final win over Hawthorn. A final call on whether Menzel needs his left knee reconstructed will not be known until he sees a surgeon in the coming days. "Not right knee but left knee which hasn't been pre-injured.
