  1. Now im really glad i didnt go - this would have been the straw that broke the camels back and resulted in a one man riot.
  2. I dont like hawthorn. At all. I like their supporters even less. But [censored] i hope they kick 40 goals v essendon
  3. He probably needs some disinfectant.
  4. Witness tampering. Is there a depth they will not sink to?
  5. But heres the thing. I have a mate who is one of the smartest guys i know. Highly intelligent. Manages a branch of a business. Normally spot on with this sort of thing. And he reckons asada should be disbanded and they are a disgrace. Weird.
  6. http://m.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/exbomber-hal-hunter-steps-up-supplements-case-against-essendon-20150401-1mcxkn.html Reckon thatd be a fairly lay down misere case if their defence was "we have no records"
  7. The moral of the story is that if you get your coach/club to employ some dodgy guys to import your drugs from china and dont test the substance in a lab and get them to tell you its something else you can dope as much as you like.
  8. http://m.foxsports.com.au/afl/afl-premiership/asada-failed-to-prosecute-bombers-due-to-mystery-over-prohibited-drug-thymosin-beta-4/story-e6frf3e3-1227288292492 According to this, the tribunal didnt believe to the standard necessary that the substance from china was TB4.
  9. http://t.co/ay7ACQOKzX Whatley gets it. Kinda. 11 players say they were injected with thymosin. Charter and alavi say they gave thymosin to dank. The tribunal agreed that the only thymosin in question was tb4. They failed to join the dot. Wada need to appeal and subpoena dank to tell us exactly what he did with the tb4.
  10. i want to know why the tribunal disregarded a player saying he was told he was given thymosin, even after they agreed that TB4 was the thymosin in question? was the player lying? in addition, what did the afl tribunal think Dank was going to do with the TB4 if he got it from alavi but not in his capacity as an essendon representative? did it just magically disappear and another thymosin magically appear? was dank lying to the player about what he was given?
  11. 1. Tribunal agrees it was tb4. 2. Came from china via charter to dank. Tribunal agrees. 3. Alavi compounds it. Tribunal agrees. 4. Dank gets it but "not in his capacity as an essendon representative". 5. Player is injected with what dank tells him is thymosin. Tribunal says thats "of no significant probative value" Anyone else see the holes here?
  12. No. You just have to pick it up from the chemist in your anti ageing clinic shirt instead of your essendon one.
  13. The tribunal was comfortably satisfied that biochemist Shane Charter had bought thymosin beta-4 in his first shipment of peptides from GL Biochem in China and that those peptides were passed on to compounding pharmacist Nima Alavi. There was some inference in correspondence from Alavi that he had compounded the drug. But the tribunal was not sure that Dank had received the drug in his capacity as an Essendon representative. The tribunal rejected the notion that he had used the legal variant, thymosin alpha. Are they serious?
  14. There is evidence from a player he was injected with a substance from a brown vial that Mr Dank always told him was thymosin." But Jones said that was of "no significant probative value". Que?????
  15. Why not you ask? Answer: because the evidence led by ASADA was unsworn, unsigned, not given before the tribunal orally and therefore not able to be properly scrutinised or tested. Wow. This is the first time ive thought asada to be useless but if that is true then they are beyond useless.
  16. So the players are not guilty because they dont know what they were injected with. Id be suing if my employer injected me with something unknown.
  17. An argument strenuously put by David Grace, QC, for the players was this: we dispute the suggestion that the club sought and obtained thymosin beta 4. There was some contention that the club instead sought thymomodulin but, he said, if the drug that was administered to the players came untested out of a Chinese factory, who could be sure what it was? What was in it? Surely if thats the case then the players have to go. If their defence is "we dont know what it was but we took it anyway" then it could have been anything! That excuse cannot be allowed to pass. Cannot. If it did then everone would take what they liked!
  18. also the amount of essendon supporters getting stuck into the pies over 2 positive a samples is ridiculous (especially given that if their b-samples are negative then they are not guilty, the end). obviously they still do not know that there is more than one way to breach the code than just a positive sample. the key differences would be that one was systematic, club endorsed, ungoverned and unrecorded (so we are told) and the other breaches have been by individuals or in this case pairs of players. also the difference in the way collingwood and freo have acted since have shown essendons behaviour to be a complete joke.
