The Tasmanian Bombers has a nice ring to it...

to justify a 2 week ban on amateurs it would have to be an epic violation of the womens league social media policy (if they have one). if it is just "it was a tough game and im really sore" then its a disgrace.

not sure but this paragraph from caro reads as if they will discuss it? but yeah, id be out. epic deal breaker for mine.

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/james-hirds-distorted-thinking-evident-once-again-as-wada-appeals-essendon-decision-20150512-gh01xv.html Caro sticks the boots in on an unrelated note - anyone who doesnt like WADA or ASADA (whatever you think of their competence or lack of it) is effectively pro drugs in sport. When i read comments on the herald sun website along the lines of "they are hopeless and a waste of government money", i wonder if that person really wants their sport full of drugs. the prospect of the AFL commission choosing to walk away from the WADA code sickens me. If they did choose to do that, the backlash on them from the average supporter i hope would be significant - certainly it would pretty much kill my interest in football.

The thing ive noticed today and watching some of 360 is just how carefully everything the bombers say is phrased. "The players are innocent" for example implies that someone else isnt, but it sounds fantastic. "Essendon is extremely confident the players did nothing illegal". Again sounds fantastic. Well 800 years ago everyone was extremely confident the earth was flat... They have some amazing PR guys

the AFL and the people who run the AFL have a big interest in how well the AFL does (obviously). The CEO's Key Performance Indicators all relate to crowds through the gate, revenue (inc TV revenue and sponsorship etc etc). The AFL therefore have a HUGE vested interest in keeping the status quo - ie 9 games a week, big crowds through the gate. It is the reason the smaller clubs (dogs, north, us, etc) get shoddy sunday arvo twilight games and the big clubs get friday nights/saturday afternoons. They would stand to lose a lot of $ both personally and the league if Essendon had received a large ban as a club, or if they had been forced to play top up players all year. notwithstanding all that, it is pretty clear the AFL knew what essendon were up to. Andy D tipped them off and essendon proceeded to blame him for their mess. they found dank guilty but failed to join the most obvious of dots. the AFL then gave the club a big fine and suspended their coach for bad governance - both things designed not to impact on crowds or the bottom line. since then as far as i can tell they have been pretty much in essendon's camp (or at least not looking to punish them in any way). the AFL tribunal was the AFL appointing people in the full knowledge that if the players were found guilty that their revenue and crowds would be down. im not suggesting the 3 learned gentlemen on the tribunal panel threw the result but i am suggesting that the AFL appointed the people they wanted. Finally we will have an independent body doing the adjudicating. and its about time!

So can the CAS subpoena witnesses to appear under oath? Seems to me if they can then the bombers will be up the proverbial creek sans paddle

Which one of you two is Harvey Spectre and which one is Mike Ross? -
Minimum salary cap has to go. Why should we pay players nearly the same as the hawks do? Also front and back loading of contracts should be removed. It slows down the whole process. Re exposure- we are playing our first friday night game in 3 years this week. The tigers have 7 this year. People want to see close footy - so schedule bottom teams together. Its also a long term thing. Clubs with exposure win more fans...

Guilty of all these offences of trafficking multiple drugs - but none of the essendon players actually got them of course. Obviously he and hirdy were like a fat kid with the cupcakes and ate them all themselves (yeah right) -
