  1. i had purged 186 from my memory.... need a scotch now. we also seriously need to DEESTROY GWS. i mean a serious, physical and mental pounding from minute one till final siren. we should be aiming for a record AFL high score in this game. as for a winning GF margin - i dream about winning one and the feeling that would come with it (as well as the month long bender i will have) - but we would have to be 20 goals up at 3/4 time for me to enjoy it......and i would love that. i was going to say 10 goals but id be too scared we would throw it away!
  2. hell yes!!!!!!!!!!!!! answer me this - 80 min game. if you get 30 touches, you may have the ball for say 2 seconds each possession - thats a minute out of 80. so what do you do for the other 79 mins? you run your guts out, support the bloke with the ball, you man up and you defend like your life depends on it! edit: ok so my question was rhetorical.
  3. For round 13..... "you lied to Jim stynes"
  4. no. to get into games you still have to use your MCC card. i upgraded this year to the expensive MFC/MCC option ( i cant remember what it is called) but i can use that card for entry...think it might jsut be victorian games though. not sure...
  5. firstly, thanks for the reports guys! hang out for them every mon wed and fri. am loving the reports of doing drills under pressure and match simulations. i did some sport related courses as part of my university degree and i coached the womens footy team and basically all i did was contested clearances and half court games (i only had 15 or so at each training) and when it came to play games they smashed the clearances (seriously, some had better hands than some afl players ive seen in close) and by crikey they knew how to defend and attack inside the arc. they started out as beginners too. anyway the moral of the story is that im awesome. but seriously - drills under pressure and match sim is the balls. rick charlsworth of hockey coaching fame said he used to play 1 or 2 extra on the opposition team so that training would be HARDER than a game. works for his teams - the won gold medals.
  6. fair enough. good luck to him.
  7. ricky is the forward pressure king...
  8. dont forget, they may not have run a 3km time trial under bailey - it may have been longer or shorter - or it may have been a different course etc etc. still, 23/25 improvements is excellent........but who didnt improve? and why not?
  9. no idea but the photo of mitch clark on the website certainly has the brighter red in the jumper.....
  10. decision - fine. money - fine. lying to jim stynes, the club and the supporters - not fine.
  11. ^ Brilliant! suggestions on twitter that blease needed to do under 11. probably a fair assessment for him.... still, times should be interesting. would love someone to beat a certain little liars time of 9:37
  12. cant believe a word the little lair says
  13. are we sure he did 9mins 37 sec? he might just have said that, when in reality he only ran 2ks somewhere else?
  14. i think the real question with jones is, what is his communication like? something we cant answer not being part of the club...
  15. why is no one mentioning Jones in relation to any of this? full time super professional - tick 110% every game - tick inspirational footy - maybe not the most talented but always goes hard and puts his body on the line - half tick surely in the mix?
  16. thanks heaps for the reports guys! the only thing that worries me is the lack of defensive pressure. i would have the defensive pressure increased so that it is more than in a game. that way a game seems easier. but thats just me!
  17. i had a 1994 tooheys new long sleeve jumper, with collar and red cuffs.....with number 5 on the back. i dont know where it is now, but it would be far too small anyway (i was 11). BUT i would looooooove one like that to wear now. long sleeves, collar.....awesome.
  18. i feel jumpers are fine at any age, unless you look like a condom full of porridge in it. i had 15 last year, but i think ill get 11 this year - not for mitch, but for the great man Jim...
  19. anyone else think that d johnson reminded them of a wonaemirri?
  20. i did fork out for foxtel this year and i must admit all i wanted was the sport, and i jsut have the basic package + sport + HD. but i do spend a lot of time watching discovery and nat geo channels..and not much watching free to air. would i get rid of the basic package and keep the sport? yep... but id miss it.
  21. i watched that game too WJ. i hope you cant lip read. what an amazing example of people they are
  22. subscriptions to foxtel will go mental in april when games are played and people realise how bad 7 are, and that their game isnt on tv...
  23. ha. i will never watch 7 except for the GF now.........friday night footy live? might actually watch it now
  24. im not sure the running half back flanker is key......did the pies even have one last year? even the cats had midfielders that would drop deep and run it out
