  1. Not surprised by his decision to focus on footy. It does, however, allow the media to speculate about it ad nauseum, and for posters on here to take off their jocks so everyone can sh*t in them about the situation. Plenty on here will have their mental health tested by this.
  2. I reckon the new polo, and logo for that matter, looks fantastic. Well done to the club.
  3. Well put, particularly the last part. It would be easy to pot some of the other guys for nothing being there, but, they aren't required to be and are encouraged to take the extra break. Plus if they return looking the goods then we know they have done what is required of them during their break and they have returned ready to go.
  4. I know it should be something the players do anyway, but it's great to see the boys really get behind Joel and support him. He would be feeling the pinch but he would clearly see that he has already been accepted by the group for having a crack.
  5. Bottom line is that everyone is there and training. That's a great, positive start to pre-season. Let's hope it stays that way.
  6. You miss my point. I'm not being critical of attending, nor about people posting about it. It's the content. My opinion was simply that one poster in particular didn't actually spend any time reporting on training but would rather, at his 'peak', post simply about his discussions with players and his clamoring to take a shot of their 'guns'. Is that reporting on training? I think not. But that's just my opinion, and as I said earlier, I know others will both agree and disagree. Such is life.
  7. I look forward to her reports where she just reports on what happens, in terms of what drills we are doing and what it looks like we are focusing on for 2016. That's all we want. The other stuff is useless, so thanks for making it clear for everyone else.
  8. Or that you were a coward for not giving this feedback to the player's face because, you know, that's what supporters do.
  9. He divides opinions, but I'm not disappointed if Saty doesn't come back. His training reports were worthless as they were far, far to biased to provide any actual news. He waffled on about how great Matt Jones was, how his disposal improved and blah blah blah. It was rubbish. Plus he spent more time pontificating about how chats with Christian Salem and his gentle 'ribbing' about Arsenal and what the players wore as their underpants for the day. I'm happy for others to disagree with me on this, it's each to their own, but his reports were worthless. Georgiou R.R. Martin, on the other hand, gave great accounts when he was there, while others also gave thoughtful reports when they made it down there as well. We'll be well covered in the off season and I'll be very thankful for that.
  10. I'd forgotten about that. What a b*stard!
  11. Jack should stick to fixing up all the other things he's failed at, like stopping world hunger and finding a cure for cancer. He's done neither of these things since he was drafted and, frankly, I'm angry about it.
  12. It was a great game too. Trapper kicked 4 as well, while Farmer kicked 3 before doing his hammy.
  13. If we take one of those guys at 3 the other won't be available at 7 IMO. I think the club, and I'm only basing this off what I've read, seems very keen on Parish and we will take who we believe to be the best player left on the board at #7. Who we end up with there is anybodies guess as the Bombers seem a little unpredictable with their picks at the minute.
  14. He was there in '98. Had a huge hand in us rolling the Pies that year as well when he kicked 5 goals. Amazing to think that, back then, we had the talent to keep out a bloke who could kick a bag of goals like that.
  15. The Wiz is still criminally underrated by the AFL community as well. Melbourne fans remember just how good he was but, outside of that, people rarely talk about him these days. He didn't help his cause by going back to Freo but, IMO, his efforts in 2000 were some of the best ever by a small forward.
  16. So you didn't have an answer at all, but instead came in to pot forward lines from 20 years ago. Nice work.
  17. So, which one was better? We know the history but you didn't exactly answer the question. '94 was better for mine.
  18. There are three guarantees in life. Death, taxes and a monthly thread about Jack Watts. I can't see how anything new can be said about him anymore.
  19. You been on the raspberry cordial again dazzle?
  20. All good mate, I was only having a bit of fun. Wasn't a knock on you at all. Cheers.
  21. Hey Stuie, when you create an alias you aren't supposed to admire your own work. It's a giveaway. I'm disappointed in you. But apparently getting a trade deal wrong means I have very little 'Knowledge' about AFL. If that's what we're basing it on then no-one on this board has a clue either.
