I'm thankful that it took no persuading at all for me to love the club as much as my father did. So many great memories that they still outweigh the bad from the last decade.
-
I believe Buckley has already put a line through Wells. Taylor Adams would be a huge out also, and it wouldn't surprise me if they don't risk him. Having said that, it's just the sort of game we've dropped in the past. Not taking anything for granted.

What website am I on?

And the other 20% is you trying to discredit Oscar in any way you can. It's getting tiresome.

Kicked a couple of clutch goals a week ago. How quickly we forget.

We're talking about finals going into the last round of the year - how good is it? I don't even know who the Top 20 draftees are this year and, frankly, couldn't give a stuff. This is what it's all about!

Article about it here: http://www.afl.com.au/news/2017-08-21/exclusive-dogs-told-theyre-out-of-jake-lever-hunt

Maybe, but it's a game plan that's won us 12 games and we've been a few kicks away from winning 15. They will tweak it in the off season, but it's the least of our worries.
-
Just as much as we would LOVE to secure a finals berth with a win over the old enemy.
-
One of the best trades we've made in a decade when you consider we traded him for Jordan Gysberts. Absolutely loving what he is bringing to the side at the moment.

He's a Chief, not a monkey, ET.

Right, which one of you mugs is it? SWYL? Olisik? Mr. White? I'd put Stuie in there but he wasn't having a dip at Pedersen.
-
Yep, I know the one now. I've mixed them up, although that doesn't put Wagner in a good light. @FlashInThePan, I got the incidents mixed up. I can't go back and edit my original post.
-
I watched the game live, yes. Hold on - are we talking about different incidents? I saw him shank one when he was going to snap a goal in the second term, but he also marked one in the third term and kicked that one out on the full.
-
Got this from a blog of the game: Wagner marks 45m out on a slight angle but misses the lot. (Q3 20:56 He marked it 45 out, meaning he kicked it from close to 50. Can't understand how you blokes missed it.

Looking ahead ... the Path to September
Wiseblood replied to Diamond_Jim's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yep, totally agree that it is very possible. The Saints will want to send off Roo on a high and they are every chance to knock them off. I'd be happy with Richmond at the G. There are 2 reasons why I'd like us to take on Port on their home deck - one is that we play AAMI very, very well, and the other is that Port have a soft underbelly and we match up on them very well. I'd be happy with either Richmond or Port. -

If we can make it, I'm not too concerned with who we play. The experience of playing finals is what this group needs. Of course I'd love to go deep into September, but playing finals will set us up for a great tilt from 2018 onwards. The best outcome is Port at AAMI. The worst is obviously the Swans up there. If we can have our best side on the park then we can match it with anyone. We just have to make sure we make it, first. -
I think this is easy for some to forget, Stretch. While it doesn't excuse our losses this year, others have had some shockers as well. The Lions rolled Essendon on their home deck, for example. Even GWS rolled over against Carlton earlier in the year. It's been such an even competition this year that, if you're not on your game, you can get rolled by anyone.

What did you like about the game today, Steve? Anything? Must be tough constantly looking for the worst in things, even after a win. You are welcome to enjoy it.
-
That shot for goal was from almost 50 metres out, hence why he shanked it as he went for extra distance. Having said that I agree he needs to be dropped. Stretch was okay but may be pushed out for Salem. I feel as though they may give Viney another week off too, so we may just see a Watts and Salem for Wagner and Stretch chance. Hannan will get lucky for a week.

When you play Benny Hill music as you read his posts they begin to make a little sense.

Still wouldn't do it!

Could have easily kicked 5 today. In career best form.

Even as someone who is seen as a perennial glass half full type, I'm still skittish about using the 'f' word. It makes me nervous. I know you are right, but I'll pretend I didn't read it for now.

He'd probably pop a full fist on your chin if given the chance, Steve.
