I think you may have misread my post Dave, I did not say the team is concerned with what supporters demand, they're your words not mine, I was just making the point that our side is just happy to coast along. We have a soft underbelly as a football team and club and have for many decades and many supporters are just happy to accept honourable losses and mediocrity, just as the players have over many years. I want our club to be absolutely ruthless, we are nowhere near it. Look at the Fritsch incident last week, weak as [censored]. Time to be feared, not laughed at and beaten easily. I also think we'll beat WCE and I also think we can go all the way, but Goodwin needs some new tricks or should I say, common sense tactical changes.

I also think another issue to the impatience and anxiety of supporters league wide is the success of the Western Bulldogs and Richmond out of nowhere, the "why not us" attitude is very prevalent. But even still, this list should be playing finals. But the above just fuels it to astronomical levels.

Interesting watching people's opinion change to now "I don't care if we dont make it." That's the soft underbelly attitude that has held this club back for decades. Show some ticker, be ruthless and don't accept mediocrity. This club should have made finals in 2017, we choked. They have just 2 games left to overcome this hurdle, the season has been frustrating and has this group "learnt from R23 last year.". If we don't make finals this year it's a massive failure as we would not have taken a scalp, not even a half decent scalp let alone a big scalp. No finals and there is massive pressure on Goodwin entering his last year, which is a problem we don't want or need. Win next 2 and confidence will be up, then sky is the limit. I have the faith we can go all the way, anyone that doesnt is just making up excuses for them. I agree with Dunstall/Wallace, Goodwin needs to stop the spin and start delivering, stop being stubborn and create his own opportunities by changing things up during game time. I was always shaky v a rebounding underdog Sydney but am very confident we will beat WCE. Go Dees.

I just want to see the anger on Chris Scott’s face. In fact it’d be almost better than a Dees win. If there is one overrated coach in the AFL its him, inherited a premiership side, topped up every year trying to win another, tried to buy a flag with Dangerflog and now they’re scraping the 8 with an A grade midfield and their best player is 34. They’re in serious trouble in the next few years, Ablett, Danger, Selwood, Taylor and probably Hawkins gone and no kids coming through. Apart from Henry, their list is a shambles.

Dermie on 360 said Goody is being too funky with the game plan, needs to simplify and Dunstall said Goodwin needs to start putting the heat on the players instead of being a softy basically. Other stuff mentioned and alluded to like not much mongrel.

Last post on this thread, but there are ways to make execution better, ie clear out the forward line and kick deeper to TMAC for eg. He allowed Swans 120 uncontested marks when he could have choked the game up. Re Goodwin record, he came in and started coaching year 4 of the Roos rebuild, he's had it handed to him good and proper. Anyway, we will win the last 2 convincingly and play off in the GF and I'll be very happy for him if he can change things up PS - replace deprived with tortured haha

Only thing I'll say is he is out coached easily. And this isn't a go at you btw. We should have beaten STK by 10 goals, he was out coached and they could smell it. We should have beaten SYD by 5 goals according to many on here, he didn't change the plan mid game. PORT we had +30 i50's but he continued to send the same message out. GEEL both games got runs ons and he didn't stop it, OMAC on Hawkins (that's not players fault) I see what you're saying, but those games have had very stubborn or slow impact from Goodwin.
