Last post on this thread, but there are ways to make execution better, ie clear out the forward line and kick deeper to TMAC for eg. He allowed Swans 120 uncontested marks when he could have choked the game up. Re Goodwin record, he came in and started coaching year 4 of the Roos rebuild, he's had it handed to him good and proper. Anyway, we will win the last 2 convincingly and play off in the GF and I'll be very happy for him if he can change things up PS - replace deprived with tortured haha

Only thing I'll say is he is out coached easily. And this isn't a go at you btw. We should have beaten STK by 10 goals, he was out coached and they could smell it. We should have beaten SYD by 5 goals according to many on here, he didn't change the plan mid game. PORT we had +30 i50's but he continued to send the same message out. GEEL both games got runs ons and he didn't stop it, OMAC on Hawkins (that's not players fault) I see what you're saying, but those games have had very stubborn or slow impact from Goodwin.

If we don't make finals you can all blame me. After a salubriously delicious long lunch and many frothies one Saturday a few months back I booked a finals package including the GF. Since then we have had a bad run in form and injuries. ( I actually do feel responsible!)

All good mate. Another thing that concerns me as well as our minimal elite kicks (which I've banged on about for ages) is how many of our players have decent footy IQ. A stat that is seriously underrated. We know Oliver is a great decision maker, Spargo has the makings of one, maybe a couple of others but I wonder how this stacks up against other teams in the 8. If I had time I'd go through it all and do some analysis. But I don't think we have too many smart players who are elite decision makers either.

Good points, one I hadn't thought of. So basically we are being negative when we should be going for the jugular.

He's only 21, how long did it take Hawkins etc, I'm not giving up on him yet, which way he'll go we don't know. If Hogan does go back to WA we need him to be a success though.
